Oceania Cruises has unveiled the Oceania Aurelia™, the ultimate explorer, designed specifically for extended global exploration. Scheduled to debut in late 2027, it will be the ideal home at sea for long, immersive voyages, including the 2028 and 2029 World Cruise itineraries, as well as a series of extensive Grand Voyages.
Launched as part of OceaniaNEXT —the brand's comprehensive initiative to continually enhance the guest experience—this completely refurbished ship, currently sailing as Oceania Nautica, represents a new standard in immersive, long-haul voyages. Its extraordinary spaciousness, thoughtful design, and club-like atmosphere draw inspiration from both the openness of the cruise line's newest ships and the warmth of a boutique hotel at sea.
With a capacity for fewer than 500 guests, served by 400 officers and crew, Oceania Aurelia offers a true “home at sea”, where travelers will find sophisticated and welcoming spaces to relax, connect and disconnect while exploring the world.
Luxury suites, many with butler service, define the onboard experience. Of the 238 accommodations, 179 are designed as spacious suites, most exceeding 28 square meters, with some reaching up to 93 square meters, many featuring elegant living and dining areas. The collection includes the refurbished Owner's, Vista, and Penthouse Suites, along with new categories such as Oceania Suites and Horizon Suites, as well as both indoor and outdoor options. Each space has been thoughtfully appointed with amenities designed to create the feeling of a private residence, ideal for extended voyages.
“Oceania Aurelia is our ultimate global explorer,” said Jason Montague, Chief Luxury Officer of Oceania Cruises. “It’s designed specifically for guests who want more space, more suites, and a deeper level of personalized attention, especially on longer voyages. It will be a more intimate, club-like ship that truly feels like a home at sea and allows for a deeper connection with the destinations visited.”
The company's renowned hospitality is reflected in a ratio of almost one crew member per guest, guaranteeing attentive, unhurried, and highly personalized service throughout the voyage.
In keeping with its commitment to offering The Finest Cuisine at Sea®, the dining experience aboard Oceania Aurelia becomes another way to explore the world. The menus reflect the regions visited and are served in iconic spaces such as The Grand Dining Room, Polo Grill, Toscana, Terrace Café, Waves Grill, and the pizzeria in the evenings.
In addition, the popular Baristas coffee space will move to Horizons and incorporate new offerings such as a Bakery with pastries and European specialties, and a Crêperie where you can enjoy freshly made crepes, waffles and ice cream.
The experience is completed with bars and lounges designed to celebrate the journey, including the new Founders Bar, focused on mixology.
The extended time at sea also provides an opportunity to explore personal interests thanks to a comprehensive range of onboard enrichment activities. New features include the Chef's Studio, with culinary workshops; the Artist Loft, for creative pursuits; the LYNC Digital Center, with interactive classes; talks by guest experts; and, for the first time, unlimited access for all guests to the Aquamar Spa Terrace.
With Oceania Aurelia™, Oceania Cruises redefines the concept of long-duration travel, combining residential comfort, global exploration, and deeply immersive experiences in an intimate and elegant setting.
