Viking receives its new riverboat in Europe, the Viking Haki

Viking has welcomed Viking Haki, the newest addition to its Viking Longships® series. With a capacity for 190 passengers, Viking Haki joins the company's award-winning fleet of next-generation sister ships and will sail the Rhine, Main, and Danube rivers, following some of its most popular itineraries.

Viking receives its new riverboat in Europe, the Viking Haki“Our river cruises offer an ideal way to discover Europe and allow passengers to immerse themselves in the history, culture, and traditions of the destinations they visit,” said Leah Talactac, president and CEO of Viking. “We are delighted to welcome the elegant Viking Haki to our fleet and offer more passengers the opportunity to discover these extraordinary destinations in Viking’s signature comfort.”.

With a capacity for 190 passengers in 95 cabins, the Viking Haki stands out for its elegant Scandinavian design and for incorporating some of the innovations that characterize the company. These include its patented square bow, which allows for three full decks, the Aquavit terrace, which combines indoor and outdoor spaces, and an asymmetrical layout of the corridors that makes it possible to have true two-room suites.

The ship will sail on popular itineraries such as Rhine Getaway along the Rhine; Grand European Tour, which explores Europe via its great rivers; Danube Waltz along the Danube; and Tulips & Windmills, dedicated to the Netherlands. It will also offer special cruises to visit European Christmas markets.

Viking is maintaining its long-term growth plans and its strategy focused on continuing to lead the experiential tourism sector. Based on the company's confirmed orders, Viking expects to receive 17 more river cruise ships by 2028, 11 ocean-going ships by 2032, and two expedition ships by 2031.

With these additions, the company will have a fleet of 114 river ships in 2028 and a total of 28 ocean and expedition ships in 2032.
