AROYA Cruises passengers will be able to watch live matches of the 2026 FIFA World Cup while cruising the Eastern Mediterranean.
The company plans to broadcast the tournament matches in various public areas of its 3,400-passenger ship, in addition to offering the signal on televisions in cabins. Throughout the competition, special areas will be set up for fans, and football-related activities will be organized.
The initiative coincides with AROYA's second season in the Eastern Mediterranean, which began earlier this month after the ship's repositioning from the Red Sea.
The 150,000 gross tonnage vessel operates seven-night itineraries from its summer home port in Istanbul, with stops in destinations in Türkiye, Egypt and Greece.
The matches can be followed in several selected spaces on board, including the Legends Lounge, the Beats Lounge and Dallah, allowing passengers to enjoy the championship without giving up their cruise experience.
In addition to the broadcasts, the cruise line will offer football-themed activities and a program specifically designed for families traveling with children. The onboard program has been designed so that guests can follow the matches while continuing to participate in other activities and excursions on land.
The 2026 FIFA World Cup will be held from June 11 to July 19 in Mexico, Canada, and the United States. It will be the first time the tournament has been contested across three host countries and is expected to attract a global television audience during its five weeks of competition.
AROYA's presence in the Mediterranean fully coincides with the development of the championship, as the ship will remain operating throughout the tournament with stops at various destinations in the Eastern Mediterranean.
AROYA's Mediterranean program is scheduled to run until mid-September, at which point the ship—the company's only vessel—will undertake an eight-night repositioning cruise back to Saudi Arabia. This outbound voyage from Istanbul will include stops in Turkey and Egypt before concluding in Jeddah, where the ship will resume its Red Sea operations.
Upon its return, AROYA will offer itineraries from Jeddah to various destinations in the northern Red Sea. The program will include stops in Jordan, Egypt, and Saudi Arabia, as well as visits to Jabal Al-Sabaya, the private island developed by Cruise Saudi for its cruises.
