MSC Cruises has released new images of its upcoming flagship, MSC World Asia, highlighting one of the ship's most unique onboard experiences: The Spiral @ Tree of Life, which will become the longest dry slide at sea.
Currently under construction at the Chantiers de l'Atlantique shipyard in Saint-Nazaire, France, the new ship will begin seven-night itineraries from Barcelona starting December 4, 2026. The ship will visit some of the most popular destinations in the Mediterranean, including Marseille, Messina, Civitavecchia (for a visit to Rome), Naples, and Valletta.
In the heart of The Harbour, the revolutionary outdoor park where families can gather for activities, enjoy delicious food, and soak up the sun, Tree of Life will become a visual landmark and a meeting point where passengers can gather before exploring the ship. From here, a unique elevated walkway encircles Tree of Life and leads passengers to The Spiral @ Tree of Life, the longest dry slide at sea.
Measuring 81.3 meters in length across 12 decks, The Spiral offers passengers a fast and memorable way to move around the ship while enjoying a unique onboard attraction designed for all ages. It connects directly to the World Promenade, a key area for enjoying ocean views, dining, entertainment, and relaxation.
At night, Tree of Life becomes the center of attention for onboard entertainment, enhanced by integrated lighting, music, and activities that create a lively atmosphere for families and groups.
Standing almost 10 meters tall above the deck and weighing close to eight tons, Tree of Life is equipped with over 150 meters of integrated LED lighting, allowing its atmosphere and energy to evolve throughout the day.
In keeping with the ship's Asian-inspired elements, Tree of Life draws inspiration from the identity of contemporary Asian cities and the iconic Supertrees of Marina Bay in Singapore.
MSC World Asia is the third ship in MSC Cruises' innovative World Class series and a new showcase of the brand's distinctive approach to cruising, combining European design with international influences and offering a wide variety of international dining options, entertainment, and experiences for the whole family.
