This summer, passengers embarking on StarCruises from Hong Kong will find a very special guest on board. The popular cartoon character McDull, one of the most recognizable symbols of Hong Kong popular culture, will star in an exclusive program designed for the school holidays on the Star Voyager.
Created in Hong Kong and a true generational phenomenon, McDull is considered one of the great icons of local animation. His popularity is such that he has a statue on the city's Walk of Fame, where he shares the spotlight with such emblematic figures as Bruce Lee.
Between July 15 and August 30, the ship will offer a wide variety of activities inspired by this beloved character. Passengers can attend musical performances, participate in themed parties and dance sessions, enjoy screenings of McDull's movies, or capture memories of their trip in different areas decorated with the image of the famous pig. There will also be creative workshops for families and special culinary offerings featuring themed dishes and sweets.
For those seeking an even more immersive experience, the cruise line has created a special package called the McDull Adventure Kit, which includes meet-and-greets with McDull and his mother, Mrs. Mak, as well as interactive games, hands-on activities, and various exclusive souvenirs. The price for this experience is HK$288, approximately US$36.
The initiative will be part of a selection of two-, three-, and five-night cruises visiting various destinations in Asia. These include several stops in Okinawa, such as Naha, Ishigaki, and Miyakojima, as well as ports in Ha Long Bay, Da Nang, Kaohsiung, Penghu, and Xiamen. The program also includes the usual two-night weekend mini-cruises departing from Hong Kong.
In addition, bookings made before June 29th will be eligible for a special promotion with discounts of up to 30% on the cruise price. As an added incentive for families, the third and fourth children can travel free of charge when sharing a cabin with the other occupants.
