With an innovative musical concept aboard the MS Europa, Hapag-Lloyd Cruises adds a new dimension to the travel experience. On select cruises, world music will take center stage, offering unique moments that go far beyond traditional entertainment.
On the EUROPA stage, international artists will present the musical culture of the countries visited in an elegant and intimate setting, creating a world-class cultural experience. The company has scheduled four themed cruises for 2026 and 2027 focused on world music.
The first of these journeys will feature Croatian singer-songwriter Marcela, Italian artist FLO, pianist and jazz and blues singer Katarina Pejak, and Catalan Paula Grande, who will perform alongside bassist Vic Moliner.
Starting this fall, guests aboard the EUROPA can enjoy a festival-like experience where artists from diverse backgrounds and styles will perform in various spaces throughout the ship. Each concert will offer fresh perspectives on music and culture, blending artistic excellence, cultural diversity, and the unique character of the EUROPA.
With a maximum capacity of 400 passengers, the EUROPA is considered one of the icons of luxury cruises. Its compact size allows for highly personalized service and an experience marked by exclusivity, elegance, and comfort.
Featured cruise: “The magic of the islands and the blue of the Adriatic” (September 22 – October 4, 2026)
During this 12-day journey, the musical program will bring together artists with influences ranging from pop and chanson to jazz and roots music.
Marcela, one of Croatia's rising stars, defines her style as "pop with a leather jacket," fusing rock energy with a powerful emotional core. Meanwhile, FLO combines her roles as a singer, songwriter, and actress in performances brimming with sensitivity and poetry.
Spain will be represented by Paula Grande and Vic Moliner, whose music blends jazz with Iberian and Latin American influences. The lineup is completed by Katarina Pejak, renowned for her unique interpretation of jazz and blues with strong American influences.
The itinerary perfectly complements this artistic proposal. The EUROPA will sail from Palma de Mallorca to Corsica, Sardinia, and Sicily, then travel along the Adriatic coast with stops in Dubrovnik, Korčula, and Trieste, before ending in Venice.
Another highlight will be the cruise “The Soul of Spain and the Heart of Portugal” (November 5-15, 2026), featuring performances by Spanish singer Maria Rodés, Portuguese singer Mimi Froes, and Brazilian singer Anna Setton. The itinerary will visit cities such as Barcelona, Valencia, Lisbon, Cádiz, Portimão, and Málaga, combining historical heritage, gastronomy, and coastal landscapes with a carefully curated musical program.
In 2027, EUROPA will take this concept to new stages. Between February and March, it will undertake a 29-day voyage from Valparaíso to San Francisco, featuring performances by Latin American artists such as Pahua, Evelyn Dupuy, and Luiza Brina.
Later, in October and November 2027, the ship will host another major floating festival on the itinerary "The charm of the Canary Islands and the magic of the Orient", between Palma de Mallorca and Tenerife, with a lineup of international artists to be announced soon.
