Viking has unveiled its new Round the World itineraries for the 2028-2029 season, among which the exclusive Viking World Cruise stands out, a 142-day journey aboard the elegant Viking Vesta.
The voyage will depart from Fort Lauderdale on December 21, 2028, and will travel across six continents and 31 countries before ending in London on May 12, 2029. During the journey, passengers will have the opportunity to participate in 62 guided excursions in different destinations and enjoy overnight stops in 16 cities around the world.

Viking's 2028-2029 round-the-world voyages combine some of the planet's most iconic cities with lesser-known destinations and culturally rich ports. Throughout the journey, travelers will cross the legendary Panama Canal, sail along the west coast of North America, and traverse the Pacific Ocean to visit spectacular locations such as Hawaii, French Polynesia, New Zealand, and Australia.
Furthermore, the itinerary offers the opportunity to discover up to 45 UNESCO World Heritage sites. The route continues through various ports in Southeast Asia and Africa, where travelers can participate in safari excursions, before arriving in Europe. Throughout the journey, passengers will combine visits to major cultural capitals with less frequented destinations that allow for a more authentic connection with local life.
Overnight stops include renowned cities such as Sydney, Singapore, Zanzibar, Cape Town and Casablanca, offering more time to explore each destination in depth.
For those who wish to extend the experience even further, Viking offers the Viking World Voyage III, a 170-day journey that continues from London and includes 21 additional ports through Northern Europe and Scandinavia, ending in Stockholm.
The shipping company has also presented other long-duration options, such as the Viking World Voyage IV, a 153-day trip between Los Angeles and Stockholm with stops in 37 countries, and the Viking World Discoveries, a 125-day proposal that departs from Los Angeles, visits 27 countries and concludes in London.
Onboard, passengers will enjoy a comprehensive cultural enrichment program that includes lectures, educational activities, and the renowned Viking Resident Historian® program, designed to provide a deeper understanding of the history and culture of the destinations visited.
Viking also offers a wide selection of optional shore excursions, including exclusive multi-day experiences. These include a six-day expedition to Uluru and the Great Barrier Reef in Australia, a tour of India's famous Golden Triangle with visits to the Taj Mahal, Agra, and Jaipur, and a five-day adventure in South Africa's Kruger National Park to see the Big Five.
