Carnival Cruise Line is reinforcing its position as “America’s Cruise Line” with a new look across its entire fleet. Today, the Carnival Legend returned to service after completing a 16-day dry dock in Freeport, debuting the new “From Sea to Shining Sea” bow design just before Memorial Day weekend.
Inspired by the song “America the Beautiful”, the new bow emblem celebrates the landscapes and oceans that Carnival shares with its guests across the country.
The design will be progressively incorporated into Carnival's U.S. ships during future dry dockings and new builds, with the exception of the Carnival Jubilee and the Carnival Tropicale, scheduled for 2028, which already feature the Texas star on their bows. The next ship to receive the new emblem will be the Carnival Magic, which will return to PortMiami after its dry docking on May 26.
“With the unveiling of this new emblem, we’re reinforcing something our guests have long known: Carnival is proud to be America’s cruise line,” said Christine Duffy, president of Carnival Cruise Line. “We sail coast to coast and connect with millions of travelers each year, and this emblem reflects the reach of our brand across the United States, from the communities we visit to the memories we help create at sea.”.
To commemorate the occasion, Carnival invited veterans from the Miami Veteran Affairs Healthcare System to unveil the new design and receive Carnival America250 commemorative coins in recognition of their service. Carnival welcomes more active duty and veteran military personnel than any other cruise line and honors them with Military Appreciation Gatherings on all its North American sailings.
The debut of the new emblem coincides with Carnival's preparations to celebrate America250, the 250th anniversary of the United States. From June 4 to July 4, guests across the fleet can enjoy patriotic activities, including contests, workshops, and onboard meet-and-greets, coinciding with the July 4th fireworks on both coasts.
