Silversea has launched its 2026 seasons in Alaska and the Arctic, reinforcing the brand's leadership in destinations across two of the world's most remote and breathtaking regions.
On May 14, guests embarked on the first of 30 Alaskan voyages, focused on immersive coastal crossings aboard some of the region's most intimate ships, combining scenic glacier-bound cruising with stops at iconic ports and lesser-known destinations. The following day marked the start of the brand's Arctic season, comprised of 21 voyages designed to offer expertly guided expeditions into remote fjords and wildlife-rich polar environments, with Zodiac excursions and more time ashore.
“Silversea has a long history of leadership in delivering deeply immersive experiences in more than 900 of the world’s most extraordinary destinations, including both polar regions,” said Bert Hernandez, President of Silversea. “Whether cruising Alaska’s glacier-fringed waterways to lesser-known destinations like Pine Island or observing the diverse Arctic wildlife alongside Silversea’s expert expedition team, guests can expect true discovery at every stage of their journey.”
Silversea's 2026 Arctic season will unfold across 21 voyages aboard the Silver Endeavour and Silver Wind ships, allowing guests to explore some of the most remote and pristine regions on the planet, spanning four countries, 55 destinations, and reaching as far north as 80 degrees latitude. Travelers will discover places like Svalbard, Disko Bay, and Ilulissat, and may even traverse the legendary Northwest Passage. Many of these iconic destinations will also include overnight stays to encourage deeper exploration.
Led by Silversea’s expert expedition teams—comprised of naturalists, historians, glaciologists, and marine biologists—these voyages will offer daily Zodiac landings, guided hikes, kayaking, and wildlife viewing. Guests may spot polar bears, Arctic foxes, musk oxen, walruses, seals, and whales, as well as vast colonies of seabirds nesting on dramatic cliffs. Select travelers will also have the opportunity to witness the magical Midnight Sun or the early return of the Northern Lights, framed by icebergs, towering glaciers, and pristine tundra landscapes.
Sailing between Vancouver and Seward, Silversea's Alaska season will feature 30 voyages aboard the Silver Whisper and the Silver Moon, two of the smaller ships operating in the region. The itineraries will take guests on a journey to discover the "Last Frontier" through 13 destinations, combining iconic landmarks with lesser-known gems.
Travelers will sail past spectacular glaciers and visit historic ports such as Juneau, Ketchikan, Sitka, Skagway, Icy Strait Point, and Valdez. Smaller destinations like Pine Island in British Columbia and a passage through Seymour Narrows will further enhance the sense of discovery.
For those wishing to expand their experience, Silversea also offers pre-cruise land programs, including a five-day immersive experience of Anchorage, Denali National Park and Alaska's iconic rail routes, culminating in embarkation at the Port of Seward.
