Carnival Cruise Line today announced its new itineraries for the 2027/28 seasons, which include an exciting mix of Caribbean cruises from three U.S. homeports and expanded European voyages, including a special cruise to view the solar eclipse on July 29, 2027.
The Carnival Miracle will depart from Galveston, Texas, before heading to Europe for the summer season. Meanwhile, the Carnival Elation and the Carnival Paradise will continue sailing from Jacksonville and Tampa, Florida, respectively, to popular Caribbean destinations.
“While there will be many ways to view the August 2 solar eclipse, doing so from the Carnival Miracle will undoubtedly be the most fun,” said Christine Duffy, president of Carnival Cruise Line. “Along with the fantastic 2027 summer season in Europe, the combination of our large and diverse fleet with our variety of homeports in the U.S. allows us to offer even more choices and adventures for the 2027/28 season.”.
The Carnival Miracle will begin sailing from Galveston on March 29, 2027, as part of Carnival's four-ship deployment in Texas. With a capacity for 2,100 passengers, it will offer:
- Two 4-day cruises to Cozumel (Mexico).
- A 10-day trip through the Eastern Caribbean with stops in Celebration Key, RelaxAway, Half Moon Cay, Grand Turk and Amber Cove (Dominican Republic).
- A 10-day itinerary through the Western Caribbean with visits to Montego Bay (Jamaica), Grand Cayman (Cayman Islands), Belize, Cozumel and Isla Tropicale (Roatán).
- A special 10-day cruise through the Panama Canal, with stops in Limón (Costa Rica), Colón (Panama Canal), Roatán and Cozumel.
After its Caribbean voyages, the Carnival Miracle will begin its European season on May 6, with a 14-day transatlantic cruise from Galveston to Lisbon (Portugal), with stops in Bermuda, Funchal and Ponta Delgada (Azores).
On May 20, it will offer a 9-day trip from Lisbon to Dover (London), visiting Bilbao, La Coruña and Vigo (Spain); Leixões (Porto, Portugal); Le Havre (Paris) and Le Verdon (Bordeaux, France); and Zeebrugge (Brussels, Belgium).
From May to September, the ship will be based in Dover, offering 8- to 12-day itineraries around the British Isles, Northern Europe, Scandinavia and the Baltic.
On September 29, the Carnival Miracle will have Civitavecchia (Rome) as its new home port, from where it will offer 8 and 10 day cruises visiting the Greek Islands, Turkey, Italy, Croatia and Montenegro.
A special 11-day cruise departing on July 29, 2027, will include a day at sea dedicated to observing the solar eclipse on August 2. This itinerary will depart from Dover and call at Guernsey; Lisbon and Leixões (Portugal); A Coruña (Spain); Le Havre (France); and Zeebrugge (Belgium).
The Carnival Paradise will continue sailing from Tampa, offering a variety of 4- to 6-day Caribbean cruises.
The Carnival Elation, meanwhile, will operate from Jacksonville, maintaining a schedule of 4 and 5 day itineraries.
These Fantasy-class ships will visit popular destinations such as Nassau (Bahamas), Cozumel (Mexico), and Key West (Florida). Many itineraries will also include stops at Celebration Key, Isla Tropicale, and RelaxAway (Half Moon Cay).
