Explora Journeys presents its trips for summer 2026 aboard the EXPLORA III

Explora Journeys presents summer 2026 with extraordinary voyages through Northern Europe, a solar eclipse viewing experience, and a scenic transatlantic crossing. Furthermore, with its inaugural voyages departing on August 3, EXPLORA III invites guests to discover a more refined version of summer travel.

Explora Journeys presents its trips for summer 2026 aboard the EXPLORA IIIFrom the silent majesty of the Norwegian fjords to the cinematic shores of New England, each itinerary has been carefully designed to foster a deeper connection through longer stays, nights in port, and a much more leisurely pace of discovery.

Offering a sophisticated perspective on the season through cooler climates, luminous northern landscapes, and culturally rich destinations, EXPLORA III will sail from Barcelona to Lisbon, explore Northern Europe and Iceland, and then cross the Atlantic via Greenland to North America. Throughout the season, the ship will chart an elegant northern course through spectacular scenery and destinations steeped in history and culture, with no itineraries being repeated.

Guests sailing aboard EXPLORA III during the summer of 2026 will discover nature's purest serenity as they tour the sheltered harbors of Baltic capitals and historic Scandinavian cities before crossing the Atlantic to Iceland, Greenland, the Maritime Provinces of Canada and New England.

From the basalt formations of the Giant's Causeway to the white-sand beaches of Prince Edward Island, the journey will reveal a vast diversity of landscapes shaped by water, wilderness, and cultural heritage. Extended stays and nights in destinations such as Stockholm, Reykjavik, and Quebec will allow travelers to explore each location in greater depth, while the transatlantic crossing will become an experience of calm and contemplation amidst the vastness of the ocean.

The itineraries through Northern Europe will also include ports new to the company, such as Bergen, Flåm, Riga, and Tallinn. Likewise, the routes through the Icelandic fjords and Greenland will allow passengers to discover remote and spectacular landscapes shaped by glaciers, ice, and ancient Nordic traditions.

“This season represents a particularly enriching moment in which different dimensions of luxury travel converge,” said Anna Nash, president of Explora Journeys.

“From witnessing the cinematic beauty of a solar eclipse alongside leading scientists and adventurers, to experiencing the serenity of a much more leisurely cruise in the north, every element has been designed to create a deeper connection with the world around us. It is a natural expression of our Ocean State of Mind, offering space, calm, and time to fully enjoy each experience.”.

True to its philosophy focused on authentic experiences, Explora Journeys will offer specially designed proposals to connect guests with the culture and heritage of Northern Europe and North America.

In the Norwegian fjords, travelers can explore the small town of Mandal in quiet electric boats, visit family orchards overlooking the Fisterfjord, or ascend the Loen Skylift near the Briksdal Glacier to enjoy some of the most breathtaking glacial panoramas in Europe.

During the westward voyage, EXPLORA III will invite you to discover the wild nature of the Canadian coast through activities such as kayaking and hiking on the famous Cabot Trail, visits to the Madeleine Islands or expeditions through the Mingan archipelago.

Later, the itinerary continues south along the North American Atlantic coast in the heart of autumn, when the landscapes transform with vibrant shades of red and gold. Guests will explore the forests and river canyons of New England before arriving in New York and concluding their journey with a spectacular arrival in Miami.

One of the highlights of the inaugural season will be the solar eclipse on August 12. EXPLORA III will be positioned in optimal conditions to view this exceptional astronomical phenomenon, the first visible from Europe in 27 years.

For this special occasion, science communicator and adventurer Huw James will join guests on board from August 10, sharing information and explanations about the eclipse. Then, on August 13, Helen Sharman, Britain's first female astronaut, will also participate, offering an inspiring talk about space and her pioneering career.

The program will also feature Lewis Pugh, UN Patron of the Oceans, during the leg between Bergen and Copenhagen from August 22 to 25. The endurance swimmer and marine conservation advocate will share his experiences in a particularly meaningful setting, as it was in Norwegian waters that he completed his first major crossing.

As the first ship in the Explora Journeys fleet powered by liquefied natural gas, EXPLORA III represents a significant step forward in the brand's commitment to sustainability. The ship incorporates advanced environmental technologies, shore power, and energy-efficient systems, all while maintaining the sophistication and elegance that characterize the onboard experience.

Among the highlights is also the return of Rolex offshore boutique concept, along with luxury brands such as Cartier, Piaget and Chopard.

EXPLORA III will also incorporate new gastronomic concepts such as The Cellar by Explora Journeys, with one of the most extensive wine collections at sea, and The Chef's Table by Explora Journeys, a personalized culinary experience designed together with the guests themselves.

With this combination of immersive itineraries, cultural depth and innovation, EXPLORA III redefines the way to understand an inaugural summer season in the luxury segment.
