Norwegian Cruise Line (NCL) today unveiled the first official architectural images and videos of Norwegian Luna, offering a first look at the ship’s stunning, state-of-the-art design on its maiden transatlantic voyage. NCL’s newest ship welcomed its first guests in Rome (Civitavecchia), Italy, on March 10, 2026, and will make its U.S. debut in Miami, the Cruise Capital of the World, on March 23, 2026.

Based on the innovative foundation of the Norwegian Aqua®, the Norwegian Luna boasts a collection of standout attractions designed to provide unforgettable moments at sea. Among the highlights is the Aqua Slidecoaster, NCL’s unique combination of water slide and roller coaster, recently named “Best Water Ride/Attraction” by the International Association of Amusement Parks and Attractions.

In addition, the ship features new experiences designed for multigenerational families, such as Luna Midway, an outdoor amusement park-style area with carnival-inspired rides; Moon Climber, a multi-level obstacle course designed for children and adults; and Horizon Park, a free recreational area with lawn games, all located on the ship's upper decks.
For a more relaxing experience, guests can unwind at the two-story Mandara Spa, featuring a variety of saunas, treatment rooms, and a spacious Thermal Suite with panoramic ocean views. For a sun-soaked retreat, travelers can enjoy the adults-only Vibe Beach Club, complete with ample lounge chairs, cabanas, and a bar serving delicious cocktails and beverages. Guests can also choose from a variety of studio, interior, ocean-view, and balcony staterooms, or suites at The Haven by Norwegian®, NCL’s exclusive “ship within a ship” concept, which offers a private restaurant, lounge, bar, and sundeck, as well as personalized butler and concierge service.
Among the vibrant and valuable productions developed in-house at NCL Creative Studios for guests to enjoy are “Elton: A Celebration of Elton John™,” a concert-style experience paying tribute to the legendary music of Sir Elton John, and “HIKO: Innovation Meets Wonder™,” a multimedia production that combines groundbreaking design, circus-style acrobatics, and contemporary dance. Guests can also indulge in a wide array of complimentary dining options, including Hudson’s, Commodore Room, and Indulge Food Hall, an internationally inspired restaurant offering a variety of global flavors. The Norwegian Luna also features specialty restaurants such as Sukhothai, with its vibrant Thai cuisine; Onda by Scarpetta, with authentic Italian dishes; the elegant Le Bistro, with its French cuisine; and Cagney’s, an upscale American steakhouse.
Following its Miami debut and christening ceremony on March 27, 2026, the Norwegian Luna will sail a series of three- and four-day Bahamas cruises, as well as seven-day Eastern Caribbean itineraries to some of the region’s most popular beach destinations. From April to November 2026, the itineraries will include calls at ports such as Puerto Plata (Dominican Republic); St. Thomas (U.S. Virgin Islands); and Great Stirrup Cay, NCL’s idyllic private island paradise in the Bahamas. The island has recently undergone several enhancements, including a new pier and trolley service for improved accessibility; the Great Life Lagoon, a large pool with swim-up bars, spacious lounge chairs, and cabanas; and the Vibe Shore Club, an adults-only retreat with private beach access and a bar. The Great Tides water park, scheduled to open in the summer of 2026, will feature a total of 19 water slides, the nearly 800-foot Wandering River, and the 9,000-square-foot Splash Cay for the whole family.
