MSC Cruises offers new experiences for passengers on its private island, Ocean CayOcean Cay opened in late 2019 and quickly became a must-see destination and a favorite among passengers on MSC Cruises' Caribbean itineraries. Reflecting the company's long-standing commitment to marine conservation, the cruise line transformed this former industrial area into a unique private destination with crystal-clear waters and pristine white-sand beaches.

With over three kilometers of pristine beaches spread across eight top-rated beaches, Ocean Cay is designed for comfort. The island boasts a wide range of amenities and experiences, including designated areas for relaxation and swimming, seven bars, the Seakers Food Court for casual dining and food trucks, and a variety of fun water activities, all conveniently located throughout the island. The island also offers a wide range of shore excursions, with options to suit all tastes, from snorkeling and water sports to climbing the iconic lighthouse and observing local wildlife.

Passengers visiting the island from the end of 2027 onwards will be able to enjoy a range of new facilities and experiences, including new restaurants and bars, an adults-only beach, a fully equipped family lagoon, and more cabanas available for booking.

Ocean Cay's new experiences include:

  • Restaurants – Four new restaurants will be added to the island, meaning passengers will have a total of seven options to choose from. A specialty restaurant will be added, along with new buffets and dining options.
  • Seakers Cove Family Beach – Seakers Cove will be renovated with an exciting range of new experiences, including a children's playground, a water play area, and a ropes course with water features. The area will also feature table tennis and foosball for the whole family to enjoy. This beach will also offer various activities, such as fun-filled tournaments and interactive games, creating the ultimate multigenerational experience.
  • Paradise Sands – an exclusive adults-only retreat will be added. The new beach experience will allow adults to relax and sunbathe in tranquility during the day, before the space transforms into the perfect spot for a sunset cocktail.
  • More cabins – The island will introduce a greater variety of cabins, providing passengers with even more options and a luxurious break.
  • Marine conservation experience – the MSC Foundation’s new “Shifting Perspective” experience will invite passengers to explore marine conservation through hands-on, immersive experiences, from coral restoration and scientific discoveries to interactive exploration of ocean ecosystems.

Work has also begun on expanding the pier to accommodate two ships. The ships dock directly at Ocean Cay, meaning passengers can disembark easily. The pier expansion, scheduled for completion by the end of 2027, will allow two ships to dock simultaneously.
