Royal Caribbean Group confirms that Richard Fain, Chairman of the Board since 1988 and a visionary leader whose contributions helped shape the modern cruise industry, will step down as Chairman of the Board in the fourth quarter of 2025. Fain will continue as a member of the Board of Directors.
Jason Liberty, President and CEO of Royal Caribbean Group since January 3, 2022, has been elected by the Board to succeed Fain as Chairman of the Board and CEO, assuming both roles also in the fourth quarter of 2025.
Additionally, John Brock, a member of the Board since 2014 and current Chairman of the Nominations and Corporate Governance Committee, has assumed the role of Principal Independent Director.
“Richard’s leadership has been truly transformative. Under his direction, Royal Caribbean Group has become the premier vacation company, with industry-leading brands, ships, destinations, and talent,” said Jason Liberty.
