Eight new ships are joining PortMiami 's roster for the 2023/24 cruise season. Among those sailing from the port this month are Oceania Cruises' Vista, the Carnival Venezia, and the Scenic Eclipse II.
In November, the Crystal Serenity, Explora Journeys' Explora I, and the Norwegian Viva will set sail, followed by Regent Seven Seas Cruises' Seven Seas Grandeur in December. In January, Royal Caribbean International's Icon of the Seas, the world's largest new cruise ship, will arrive.
In addition, the christening ceremony of the Norwegian Viva is scheduled for November 28 in port, followed by that of the Seven Seas Grandeur on December 10.

As PortMiami returns to regular cruise schedules and operations, it has already recorded its two busiest cruise days ever. On April 9, the port welcomed 67,594 passengers, a 12.7% increase over the 58,984 passengers who arrived on February 12.
Ground power
In addition, PortMiami is finalizing its shore power supply program in collaboration with Carnival Corp, MSC Cruises, Norwegian Cruise Line, Royal Caribbean Group, Virgin Voyages, and Florida Power and Light Co. When completed, it will have shore power available at five cruise terminals, with the capacity to power three ships simultaneously.
