ADELTE has been contracted by Fincantieri Infrastructure to design and manufacture four HYDRA model Boarding Bridges, and install them at the new MSC Cruise Terminal (AA/AAA Cruise Terminal), currently under construction in PortMiami, USA.
Fincantieri Infrastructure is building North America's largest and most modern cruise terminal, a four-story building with four boarding decks and four Passenger Boarding Bridges, capable of handling up to 36,000 passengers per day. ADELTE will bring all four bridges into service in 2024.

HYDRA-type boarding bridges are designed at ADELTE's offices in Barcelona and manufactured at their facilities in Monzón, Spain. Each steel-framed boarding bridge consists of multiple tunnel sections with glass walls, a docking cabin, a building connection module, and lifting and transport systems. The docking cabin will be ADELTE's most technologically advanced. The electromechanical column lifting systems allow the boarding bridge to reach a boarding height of 16 meters above sea level.
The four SPBBs can be moved lengthwise along the pier, allowing boarding from any position at the entrance of the MSC Cruise Terminal building. Upon boarding, passengers will enjoy a full view of the cruise ship and the terminal. The gangways will be designed to facilitate routine maintenance.
When these four walkways are put into service at the MSC Cruise Terminal in 2024, ADELTE will have a total of twelve SPBBs installed at PortMiami and a total of thirty-three units in operation at Cruise and Ferry Terminals in North America.
