Princess Cruises will have a home port in Sydney where the Discovery Princess will dock during the 2025-26 summer season in Australia.
The Discovery Princess will be the largest ship in the cruise line's Australian-based fleet in its 50-year history. The ship will make its Sydney debut in October 2025.
Princess Cruises President John Padgett said : “ It has been almost half a century since Princess Cruises first introduced the Pacific Princess to Sydney’s shores. To commemorate this milestone, we are delighted to unveil today the future deployment of the Discovery Princess, further solidifying our belief in the Australian market .”

Padgett added that the cruise line is delighted to add the Discovery Princess to its Australian fleet for the 2025-26 summer season. The ship will join the Crown Princess and Grand Princess as part of the summer program, which will be fully revealed next month, including the longest World Cruise to date.
