“2017 will be a key year for Norwegian Cruise Line Holdings in China as we will carry out our ambitious plans to launch the Norwegian Joy, the first cruise ship built specifically for the Chinese market, and it will also be the year in which we expand our ports of call in China for our three brands,” said Del Rio.

Norwegian Cruise Line (NCL) will utilize the recently refurbished Norwegian Star on its Asian itineraries in December 2016, taking more than 2,300 international tourists to Hong Kong and Sanya on its 11- and 14-day cruises. In February 2017, Oceania Cruises, the premium service brand, will seasonally deploy the Nautica in Asia, joined by its sister ship, Insignia, in March 2017. Luxury brand Regent Seven Seas Cruises will expand its fleet in March 2017 with the Seven Seas Voyager, which will spend the spring season in Asia.
