Costa Cruises ships will broadcast live the official matches of the upcoming World Cup football tournament through Sport 24, the live sports channel on board, which will be held in Qatar from November 20 to December 18.
Regardless of where they are cruising during those dates—the Mediterranean, the Caribbean, the United Arab Emirates, South America, or on transatlantic voyages—guests of the Italian cruise line won't miss a single minute of the scheduled matches, even while at sea, thanks to satellite broadcasting with extensive coverage across both hemispheres (north and south). The matches can be viewed free of charge on screens in the ships' public areas as well as on televisions in cabins.
The flagship Costa Toscana will broadcast the first matches from the Western Mediterranean until the end of November, when it will set sail for Dubai on a magnificent 20-day cruise. The final matches of the World Cup can be seen during the first of the week-long winter cruises to the UAE and Oman, which includes extended stops in Dubai, Abu Dhabi, and Muscat. The Costa Smeralda will visit Italy, France, and Spain weekly throughout the World Cup period, while the Costa Deliziosa will offer week-long cruises to Greece, Croatia, and Montenegro, departing from Bari and Trieste.
The Costa Fascinosa will offer a 10-day cruise to Lisbon, an 11-day cruise to Morocco, and a Mediterranean mini-cruise. The Costa Pacifica will offer Mediterranean mini-cruises. Then, in early December, both ships will move from Europe to the Caribbean, offering 14- and 16-day transatlantic cruises, visiting two continents in one vacation.
The Costa Favolosa, Costa Fortuna and Costa Firenze will depart from Italy on November 18, 20 and 28, bound for Brazil and Argentina, where they will remain stationed throughout the winter, including the final matches of the World Cup of Sport on the 24th.
