ADELTE has announced the commissioning of a new HYDRA Seaport Passenger Boarding Bridge (SPBB) at the Flynn Cruiseport Boston terminal, operated by the Massachusetts Port Authority (Massport).
The new infrastructure, equipped with an advanced double boarding cabin, was fully assembled in the Port of Barcelona before being shipped to Boston, where it was unloaded and installed last June. Just days after it became operational, the gangway welcomed its first cruise ship passengers.
This is the second HYDRA SPBB gangway supplied by ADELTE to Flynn Cruiseport Boston, thus reinforcing the company's collaboration with the US port and its commitment to offering innovative and reliable solutions for passenger boarding.
The new jetway has been designed to ensure safe, efficient, and weather-protected boarding, while also offering greater operational flexibility. Its double-deck structure streamlines boarding and disembarking operations, improving both terminal efficiency and the passenger experience.
ADELTE has highlighted that the success of the project has been made possible thanks to the coordinated work of its international Global Technical Services (GTS) teams in Spain and the United States, who participated in all phases of the project, from assembly and transport to installation and commissioning.
The company expressed its gratitude for the trust placed in them by the Massachusetts Port Authority and the other project partners, noting that this new facility consolidates the presence of their engineering solutions in some of the world's leading cruise ports.
