Princess Cruises will introduce significant changes to the Royal Princess by expanding its Sanctuary Collection product to five more Royal-class ships. This premium experience will include a private Sanctuary Club, exclusive dining options, and new stateroom categories, while also redesigning several existing public spaces on board.
The changes were revealed in Princess Cruises' October 21 announcement, which confirmed the expansion of the Sanctuary Collection to the ships Royal Princess, Discovery Princess, Enchanted Princess, Regal Princess, and Sky Princess.
Comparing the updated deck plans of the Royal Princess with the previous layout reveals several significant changes, including the removal of the adults-only Retreat pool and sun deck, the transformation of part of the Concerto restaurant into a restaurant reserved for Sanctuary Collection guests, and the addition of new single inside cabins.
The new plans also show changes to the popular Good Spirits at Sea bar, located in the Piazza, which is now identified as Piazza Bar. In addition, new ocean-view cabins will be added, and the ship's self-service laundry facilities will be modified.
These changes reflect a significant transformation in the distribution of space on existing Princess Cruises Royal-class ships, with more space reserved exclusively for passengers who book the new Sanctuary Collection.
