Sonia López Corrales is appointed Director of Business Development for Iberia & Nordics at Norwegian Cruise Line

Norwegian Cruise Line has promoted Sonia López Corrales to Director of Business Development for Iberia & the Nordics. This appointment recognizes both her solid track record and the company's ongoing commitment to driving its growth in Spain, Portugal, and the Nordic countries.

Sonia López Corrales is appointed Director of Business Development for Iberia & Nordics at Norwegian Cruise LineIn her new role, she will be responsible for further strengthening NCL's commercial presence in the Iberian Peninsula, as well as expanding her responsibilities to include business development and sales in the Nordic markets (Denmark, Norway, Sweden, Finland, and Iceland). Within this new structure, Tom-Andre Baraas, Business Development Manager for the Nordics, will report directly to her.

In her new role, she will be responsible for further strengthening NCL's commercial presence in the Iberian Peninsula, as well as expanding her responsibilities to include business development and sales in the Nordic markets (Denmark, Norway, Sweden, Finland, and Iceland). Within this new structure, Tom-Andre Baraas, Business Development Manager for the Nordics, will report directly to her.

Sonia joined NCL in 2009 and is a leading figure in the tourism sector, with extensive experience gained in previous roles at prominent organizations such as Viajes Marsans and Alitalia Compagnia Aerea Italiana SpA. Since joining the company, she has built a strong reputation for driving sustained growth and developing new business opportunities in Spain and Portugal. Under her leadership, NCL has significantly consolidated its presence on the Iberian Peninsula, increasing its market share and contributing to a transformation in consumer booking habits. Among other achievements, she has reduced reliance on last-minute bookings for departures from Barcelona and boosted demand from Spanish travelers for a wider variety of itineraries, including the Greek Islands, Northern Europe, and the Caribbean. This success has been made possible through strategic alliances and a consistent, collaborative approach with the distribution channel and its partners.
