Carnival Cruise Line has unveiled The Next Course, a new culinary offering that includes brand-new restaurants and bars debuting aboard Carnival Festivale in 2027 and Carnival Tropicale in 2028, along with a comprehensive overhaul of the dining experiences that will be rolled out across the fleet.

Each year, Carnival welcomes more than six million passengers and serves more than 100 million meals, a volume that has allowed the company to identify the main gastronomic trends and develop this new offering.
To present The Next Course, Carnival organized an immersive event in New Orleans with its culinary director, renowned chef Emeril Lagasse, where it showcased a preview of the gastronomic evolution it is preparing for the coming years.
“Our culinary offerings, combined with the excellent service of our team, are one of the pillars of Carnival’s success,” said Christine Duffy, president of Carnival Cruise Line.
“This new culinary adventure represents a step forward in offering our guests an unforgettable experience thanks to a wide variety of new flavors that will be available throughout the fleet.”
New restaurants and bars
The Next Course proposal will incorporate several completely new specialty restaurants and bars:
- Emeril's Coastal Seafood, with cuisine inspired by the coast and created by chef Emeril Lagasse.
- Uku Lei Lei, specializing in Hawaiian cuisine and classic Asian dishes.
- Fetaccine, with a menu inspired by Mediterranean cuisine that combines Italian and Greek specialties.
- Le Bistro Musicale, a traditional French restaurant set in a relaxed Parisian cafe with live music, exclusive to Carnival Festivale.
New leisure spaces at Carnival Festival
In addition, Carnival Festivale will debut several exclusive bar concepts:
- The Spark, a lively lounge with live performances and cocktails inspired by iconic songs.
- Mix, an interactive bar where passengers can choose from original cocktails or create their own flavor combinations.
- Festival Grounds Coffee & Bar, a space that will combine specialty coffees and cocktails in a dynamic atmosphere.
Gastronomic renovation across the entire fleet
The Next Course initiative will also bring significant improvements to the culinary offerings available on all Carnival ships:
- New menus in the main dining room for breakfast, brunch and dinner.
- Renovation of the Lido Marketplace, which will incorporate a new Lido Family Menu with daily options designed for the little ones.
- Daily rotating specialties at BlueIguana Cantina.
- Bagels @ Sea, with freshly baked bagels and a wide selection of toppings.
- Renewal of the menu for the exclusive Chef's Table experience, with multi-course tasting dinners inspired by regional cuisines.
- New temporary spaces (Pop-Ups), such as Fruity & Frosted sweet breakfast bars, ice cream parlors and smoothie bars, in addition to other informal dining concepts on different ships in the fleet.
- Ordering and collecting coffee via the mobile app expands the takeaway options.
- Express Dining, a new system that will allow you to enjoy a faster and more agile service in the main dining room.
With this renovation, Carnival Cruise Line seeks to continue evolving its gastronomic offering and provide a more varied, modern culinary experience adapted to the preferences of today's travelers.
