Carnival Cruise Line will hold its first President's Cruise aboard the Carnival Magic in February 2027 and will feature the participation of the company's president, Christine Duffy, and popular brand ambassador, John Heald.
The special voyage will depart from Miami on February 28, 2027, for a six-night itinerary through the Caribbean and Bahamas, with stops in Grand Turk, Amber Cove and Celebration Key, Carnival's new exclusive destination in the Bahamas.
The voyage will combine John Heald's traditional annual gathering of fans, known as FFS (For Fun's Sake), with the debut of the new President's Cruise format. During the trip, there will be private events, special performances, meet-and-greets with passengers, and various exclusive activities featuring Christine Duffy and John Heald.
According to the cruise line's president, the Carnival Magic will be the ideal setting for this experience after recently completing a major refurbishment during a 35-day dry-dock stay. Duffy highlighted the improvements made on board and said she was impressed by the results of the modernization work.
John Heald noted that the cruise will include exclusive moments with guests, special shows, surprises, and the possible participation of prominent guests to be announced in the coming months.
The company will announce in September the registration process for participating in exclusive activities scheduled during the voyage. As is typical for FFS events, a nominal fee will be charged for access to certain gatherings and celebrations organized on board.
In addition to the President's Cruise announcement, Christine Duffy provided an update on the development of Project Ace, Carnival Cruise Line's next-generation ships. She confirmed that the first ship in this series, slated to enter service in 2029, will hold its steel-cutting ceremony on July 10 at Fincantieri's Italian shipyards. The other two ships in the class are scheduled to join the fleet in 2031 and 2033, respectively.
