Seabourn has completed the comprehensive refurbishment of its ship, the Seabourn Quest, which has emerged from dry dock with the most ambitious interior upgrade to date undertaken by the cruise line. The improvements made to suites, public spaces, restaurants, and the spa aim to offer a more relaxed, elegant, and comfortable experience, reinforcing the understated luxury concept that characterizes the brand.
Following the completion of these works, the Seabourn Quest will continue operating in the Mediterranean until November 2026, offering a series of seven-day cruises between Dubrovnik, Istanbul, Athens , and Fusina (Venice), with stops at marinas and islands in Croatia, Greece, Montenegro, and Turkey. Itineraries can be combined to create 14- and 21-day voyages.
“This renovation represents an investment that reflects our strong commitment to continuously improving our guests’ experience,” said Mark Tamis, President of Seabourn. “The Seabourn Quest has always had a very loyal clientele, and we wanted to enhance the spaces where our guests spend the most time, from their suites to The Club, to ensure the best possible experience at sea.”
Completely renovated public spaces
One of the most significant changes has been made to The Club, which has been transformed with a new aesthetic inspired by exclusive speakeasies .The space features a new layout, updated lighting, and a complete bar redesign that enhances the experience during the evening hours.
The new configuration favors both live musical performances and social gatherings, improving circulation between the bar area, rest areas and the dance floor.
In addition, numerous common areas on the ship have been updated to create a more fluid and welcoming atmosphere. The main atrium, corridors, and staircases now feature new carpeting inspired by the movement of water. Meanwhile, the main pool deck boasts a new sound and lighting system, surrounded by a refurbished teak deck.
The Seabourn Square area now offers a warmer, more residential atmosphere, with new furnishings and bistro-style areas. The Observation Bar, spa, and onboard shops have also been renovated, incorporating new finishes, furnishings, and lighting to create brighter, more relaxing, and functional spaces.
The spa also features a new reception area, completely renovated sports equipment, and an updated hair salon, designed to enhance the feeling of well-being and relaxation.
Improved restaurants
The Colonnade buffet restaurant has been renovated with new floors, carpets and furniture, as well as a new service line that highlights the live cooking stations.
Meanwhile, the main restaurant, The Restaurant, presents a brighter and more contemporary image thanks to the addition of new carpets and curtains, while maintaining its elegant and sophisticated atmosphere.
More comfortable suites
All suites on the ship have received new mattresses and high-quality wool carpeting. Penthouse suites and higher categories also feature new furniture on their private terraces, creating more inviting spaces to enjoy the sea views.
A new design philosophy
The renovation reflects an evolution in Seabourn's aesthetic concept, featuring warmer, more personal, and residential interiors. The new spaces draw inspiration from the colors, materials, and textures of the destinations the company visits, creating harmonious and functional environments.
“Our goal was to create natural, intuitive, and comfortable spaces for guests,” explained Linh Nguyen. “Rather than drawing inspiration from a single destination, we opted for a broader vision based on materials and proportions to create balanced and welcoming environments.”
Commitment to sustainability
The renovation also incorporated significant environmental measures. More than 20,000 square meters of carpeting were replaced and diverted from landfills to be reused as base material in future renovations.
The new carpets installed in the suites are made of certified Cradle to Cradle biodegradable wool, promoting a circular economy model. Additionally, all the removed mattresses were disassembled for recycling, and some of the furniture from the common areas was donated to Italian charities, extending its lifespan and benefiting local communities.
A historic investment for the fleet
The work carried out in 2026 represents the largest interior investment ever made by Seabourn on one of its ships. In addition to the passenger areas, the project also included improvements to crew accommodations, services, and rest areas, enhancing the working conditions for the teams that make the cruise line's personalized service possible.
For those who wish to experience these new features aboard the Seabourn Quest, the company has launched its Exploration Event promotion, offering discounts of up to 15% on select summer and expedition cruises, as well as onboard credits of up to $1,000 per suite on a selection of winter itineraries.
