Crystal adds a new Wellness at Sea Retreat on board the Crystal Serenity, departing from and returning to Lisbon from October 11 to 17, 2026.
Created in response to high demand, this new journey will include the Sanctum experience, an innovative transformational movement practice born in Amsterdam that combines high-intensity training, conscious breathing, and meditative movement into an immersive, collective, music-driven experience.
This will be the first time Sanctum has been presented on the high seas as part of a comprehensive wellness program designed to enhance physical vitality and mental clarity.
“Sanctum was created as a cathartic, music-guided ritual that unites intensity and calm in an immersive format,” explained Gab Olszewski, CEO of Sanctum. “In less than an hour, we combine movement, breathwork, and meditative practices to help participants disconnect from the outside noise and reconnect with themselves. We are thrilled to bring this energy to the sea for the first time with Crystal.”.
The seven-day cruise will stop in Portimão, Casablanca, Agadir and Arrecife, allowing guests to connect with both the destinations and the wellness program.
Some excursions have been specially designed with a wellness focus. In Portimão, passengers can hike the Seven Hanging Valleys Trail, famous for its limestone cliffs, caves, and ocean views, including places like Praia da Marinha, Praia de Benagil, and the Alfanzina lighthouse.
In Arrecife, travelers will have the opportunity to discover the volcanic landscapes of Lanzarote through guided hiking routes through Haría and the Valley of a Thousand Palms.
“At Crystal, wellness is not an add-on service, but a philosophy integrated into the entire guest experience,” said Dalila Roglieri, Crystal’s Wellness Ambassador. “The addition of this retreat reflects our guests’ growing interest in programs that are both inspiring and deeply meaningful. With Sanctum, this voyage offers a truly elevated approach to wellness at sea.”.
Guests will participate in a carefully designed daily program that evolves throughout the trip, combining energizing and restorative activities. Included experiences include:
- Daily sessions of movement, stretching, gentle mobility and aerobic exercises.
- Hatha, dynamic, yin yoga practices and specific therapeutic sessions.
- Guided sound healing experiences and nighttime relaxation rituals.
- Cocoa ceremony focused on mindfulness and setting intentions.
- Individual nutritional consultations and interactive sensory workshops.
- Lectures given by experts on longevity and performance optimization.
- Two exclusive 55-minute Sanctum sessions, available for an additional $100, delivered via wireless headphones and combining kundalini, zen Buddhism, qigong, somatic movement, and high-intensity training.
The retreat will be led by a team of renowned international specialists:
- Dalila Roglieri, Crystal's wellness ambassador and certified nutritionist.
- Dr. Massimo Spattini, expert in longevity and preventative health.
- Eva Estlander, specialist in yoga and sound healing.
- Vanessa Schummelfeder, dance and fitness expert.
- An official Sanctum guide in charge of leading the transformational sessions.
With this new addition, Crystal continues to expand its offering in the area of wellness, providing its guests not only with moments of relaxation, but also with tools to maintain healthy habits beyond their trip.
