Norwegian Cruise Line is expanding its training offerings for the tourism sector with the launch of Book-a-Training. This new, personalized training format is designed specifically for travel agents. The launch coincides with the 15th anniversary of NCL's "Partners First" philosophy and takes place during "Partners First Month," which runs until the end of May.
With Book-a-Training, NCL is directly responding to the growing demand from travel agencies for individualized training based on their specific needs. The new format allows agents to book customized training sessions focused on the topics most relevant to their daily work. These one-on-one sessions are delivered online by the company's Partnership Relations team and are fully adapted to each agent's level of knowledge and availability.
The training content is individually defined and tailored to the specific needs of each travel agent. Topics covered include comprehensive product training, information on Free at Sea™, professional use of NCL's Book Norwegian reservation system, and efficient management of Norwegian Central, the company's main sales platform. Additionally, other sales-relevant topics can be addressed within the Book-a-Training format, always with the aim of reinforcing knowledge that can be applied immediately.
“With Book-a-Training, we are placing a clear focus on individual support for the tourism sector,” said Sonia López Corrales, Senior Business Development Manager for Spain and Portugal at Norwegian Cruise Line. “Travel agencies differ in their priorities, experience levels, and training needs, and this new format is designed to reflect exactly that. Instead of standardized training sessions, agents receive hands-on, personalized training that helps them develop precisely in the areas that matter most to their business.”
The launch of Book-a-Training underscores the fact that training and development are a cornerstone of NCL's Partners First philosophy. During this Partners First Month, NCL is placing even greater emphasis on the professional development of travel agents by combining a range of initiatives designed to support the industry, including Norwegian Central, NCL University with structured online training, and video tutorials on how to make bookings.
