Windstar Cruises presents its program for its 2028 season in French Polynesia, and opens bookings, offering the possibility of choosing between a sailing or motor yacht experience.
Building on the addition of Wind Star to its South Pacific program in 2027, the cruise line will offer an extensive program of small-ship voyages to Tahiti, the Tuamotu Islands, the Marquesas Islands, the Cook Islands, and Fiji in 2028. For nearly 40 years, Windstar has sailed these waters, bringing travelers closer to the islands, cultures, and traditions that make this region one of the world's most desirable destinations.
Travelers who plan ahead can take advantage of Windstar's early booking offer, which rewards early reservations with the best fares and cabin selection before they sell out on these highly sought-after trips.

In 2028, Windstar will operate two yachts year-round in French Polynesia: the 312-passenger motor yacht Star Breeze , which will operate longer itineraries, and the classic 148-passenger sailing yacht Wind Star , which will operate the flagship seven-day Dreams of Tahiti itinerary .
Between the two yachts, Windstar will offer 14 different itineraries and 109 sailings, ranging from the popular seven-night Dreams of Tahiti voyage to longer itineraries through the Tuamotu, Marquesas, Fiji, and Cook Islands. Many of these voyages can also be combined into Star Collector itineraries , creating more extensive adventures in the South Pacific.
Guests can also enhance their experience with Cruise + Flight + Hotel packages from Los Angeles, as well as highly sought-after overwater bungalow stays in Moorea and Bora Bora, which often sell out well in advance.
During the trip, Tahitian cultural ambassadors accompany guests offering practical activities such as ukulele lessons, how to put on a sarong or Tahitian language lessons, as well as sharing stories and traditions passed down from generation to generation.
On some sailings, travelers will have the opportunity to meet Tihoti, a renowned tattoo artist, historian, and musician, who explains the meaning of Polynesian tattoos. The cultural immersion continues with performances by local musicians and dancers, including the popular family group Mamas and the Papas, who bring the narrative and rhythmic spirit of Polynesian culture to life on board.
Guests can also enjoy the exclusive Fire & Story in Bora Bora, an unforgettable evening with traditional music, Polynesian cuisine and fire dance performances on a private motu under the stars.
