Scheduled to launch in May 2026, the AMADEUS Aurea will set new standards in high-end sustainable cruises, incorporating an advanced hybrid propulsion system, a high-performance battery, and a heated outdoor pool.
Following AMADEUS's tradition of leading eco-innovation in river cruises, the AMADEUS Aurea represents a further step in its commitment to sustainable shipbuilding. Featuring state-of-the-art propulsion technology and a sophisticated design, this ship embodies a "new generation on the river," a concept successfully introduced with the launch of the AMADEUS Nova in 2024.
The ship's innovative hybrid diesel-electric propulsion system significantly reduces CO₂ emissions, while an advanced control and positioning system improves efficiency. Solar panels generate additional power, and a heat recovery system optimizes energy consumption. Furthermore, the use of special glass panels minimizes heat loss and temperature fluctuations, enhancing onboard comfort.
Measuring 135 meters in length, the AMADEUS Aurea will accommodate up to 158 guests as it cruises the picturesque Rhine and Danube rivers. Across its four decks, passengers can enjoy 12 spacious suites with balconies and 67 bright outside cabins, most featuring panoramic tilt-and-turn windows. Elegant, sheltered lounges, the open-air Café Vienna gallery, and the sundeck with a heated pool and Lido bar offer ideal spaces for relaxation. A dedicated massage and fitness area is also available, while the facilities on the upper deck ensure a unique leisure experience on the river.
