Princess Cruises is introducing four new North to Alaska for the 2026 season. All eight of the company's ships sailing in Alaska this year—Star Princess, Coral Princess, Royal Princess, Ruby Princess, Grand Princess, Emerald Princess, Discovery Princess, and Island Princess—will feature this programming.
Launched in 2015, the award-winning North to Alaska immersive program connects travelers with Alaska's rich heritage, spectacular nature, and unique landscapes through authentic experiences, educational activities, and entertainment both onboard and onshore.
In 2026, Princess Cruises will operate its largest Alaskan season to date with the debut of its newest ship, Star Princess. The expanded program will include eight ships, 180 sailings, and visits to 19 destinations, offering a wide variety of options in both ocean cruises and land-sea combinations.

New highlights for 2026
- The Glacier Experience: A Signature Princess Day: Scenic days with close-up views of glaciers, live storytelling, ranger interventions, and access to VIP viewing areas. Includes presentations, youth programs, and hot beverage stations on deck.
- Welcome to Alaska: An essential presentation to help guests make the most of their trip, featuring naturalists and experts.
- Après Sea: an après-ski inspired experience, with hot drinks and panoramic views to relax after a day of exploring.
- Candlelight Concert Series: Fire & Ice: intimate concerts with Alaskan artists, lit by candles and with a unique atmosphere, available in limited editions during each voyage.
The culinary offering is also enhanced with new à la carte options in specialty restaurants with a menu that combines local produce and refined cuisine.
The program maintains some of its most popular activities, such as the Great Alaskan Lumberjack Show, Puppies in the Piazza —with husky dogs in training— or presentations by the team from the television program Deadliest Catch.
The itineraries also include a carefully curated selection of speakers, including representatives of Alaska Native communities, writers, and photographers, who provide cultural and historical context to the trip.
Highlights include open-air cinema under the stars, guided stargazing sessions, and interactive experiences such as "The Great Big Adventure" or competitions between crew and passengers with a local theme. Younger guests can enjoy specific activities like Glacier Bay Junior Rangers, adventures inspired by the gold rush, or immersive expeditions that combine learning and fun.
