Spring begins in the Port of Malaga and with it one of the peak seasons for cruise tourism, during which the arrival of 172,000 passengers on board 117 ships is expected between March 15 and June 29, consolidating the figures compared to the same period of the previous year.
The season opens with the exclusive arrival of theFour Seasons Yacht, currently on its inaugural itinerary and having chosen Málaga for its christening ceremony. The vessel has a maximum capacity of 190 passengers and will be docked at the Palmeral Terminal from today, Friday, until next Tuesday, March 17, offering cruise passengers a unique experience just 5 minutes from the city center.
In fact, 66 other ships belonging to luxury and premium cruise lines are scheduled to arrive at the Port of Málaga between March and June, representing more than 50% of the total calls planned for the coming months,continuing the upward trend in this type of tourism.
First Calls:
In addition to the 'Four Seasons Yacht', two other ships will visit the port for the first time, with Royal Caribbean's 'Legend of the Seas'closing the season on June 29. In fact, Malaga will be the first European port of call for this ship from the Caribbean on its maiden voyage, from where it will begin its summer season in the Mediterranean.
A total of 117 ships will visit the port area between March 15 and June 30.

Finally, the Port of Malaga will host 21 homeport calls, with the start and/or end of the itinerary in the capital, among which companies such as MSC Cruises, Marella Cruises, Sea Cloud and Star Clippers stand out, among others.
Cruise Ship Schedule:
During this period, the Port of Malaga will receive a maximum of four cruise ships per day, on April 13, May 2, May 5, and June 26, with a mix of small and large vessels calling at the port. This distribution will therefore promote a wider variety of excursions and facilitate sustainable management of tourist traffic arriving by sea.
