The Ritz-Carlton Yacht Collection's superyacht Luminara will sail to Alaska and Asia in 2027

The super-luxury ship Luminara, belonging to The Ritz-Carlton Yacht Collection, will sail to both Asia and Alaska as part of its recently announced 2027 itineraries. The brand will offer 15 voyages to the Land of the Midnight Sun, four Pacific crossings, and two transcontinental voyages that will allow passengers to visit both destinations on the same itinerary.

Whichever voyage is chosen, passengers will be able to explore more remote areas, in addition to some of the most iconic destinations. In Alaska, for example, travelers can enjoy the breathtaking scenery between Vancouver, British Columbia, and Whittier, with the Luminara as their floating home base. These seven- to nine-night voyages can include sailing through the Inside Passage, where it's possible to see glaciers, densely forested coastlines, and spectacular landscapes along more than 800 kilometers.

To get even closer to the glaciers, some itineraries will sail through Tracy Arm Fjord —with optional private flights for a closer look—, while others will take passengers to more remote ports, such as Wrangell and Klawock, during bear season and salmon migration, offering an exceptional wildlife viewing experience.

Asia, meanwhile, will offer a tour of numerous ports, including destinations in Seoul, Tianjin (with Beijing and the Great Wall nearby), Otaru, Akita, and others. A 10-night voyage between Tokyo and Seoul, for example, will allow passengers to see Mount Fuji and seaside temples, as well as time to explore Beijing's Forbidden City during a two-day stay.

Other experiences include visits to Osaka's famous Dotonbori food district, as well as the chance to discover UNESCO World Heritage sites.

“Our 2027 summer season aboard Luminara reflects our continued focus on immersive exploration at sea, combining expanded Alaskan itineraries and new ports in Asia with the comfort of ultra-luxury accommodations and personalized service,” said Ernesto Fara, CEO and President of The Ritz-Carlton Yacht Collection, in a press release. “These new voyages are thoughtfully designed to invite guests to discover and connect with two very distinct regions in a seamless and enriching way.”.

The Luminara is the newest addition to The Ritz-Carlton Yacht Collection, forming a trio with its sister ships Evrima and Ilma. This new cruise ship began sailing last July and features 226 spacious suites, all with private verandas.

Onboard you'll also find a Ritz-Carlton Spa, a marina with direct access to the sea, several swimming pools and top-notch dining.

The cruises will take place between April 25 and October 13.
