Luminara is the latest addition to the Ritz-Carlton Yacht Collection, a fleet of ultramodern, super-luxury yachts that bring the legendary elegance, privacy, and personalized service of Ritz-Carlton hotels to the sea. Joining its predecessors Evrima, launched in 2022, and Ilma in 2024, Luminara represents the hotel chain's most ambitious project to date. It features two new suite categories offering over 100 square meters of private space.

The ship is 242 meters long and accommodates 452 passengers in 226 suites. The public spaces were designed by Chapi Design Luxury Division of Toronto, while the suites were designed by AD Associates of London. The lighting was developed by DPA consultants.
Interior and Exterior Design:
The interiors combine warm walnut woods and Arabescato Corchia marble with a palette of soft blues, warm grays, and deep ocean tones, accented by bronze and ruby details. Reflective finishes, sculptural lighting, and curved architecture are designed to evoke the fluidity of the sea and create a harmonious connection between the interior and exterior spaces. The yacht's exterior design, by Helsinki-based studio Aivan, draws inspiration from the style of private yachts.
This is certainly not just any cruise ship; it's a five-star floating sanctuary. Although it accommodates 452 passengers, the interior doesn't feel like it. Each deck offers public and private spaces, hidden passageways with ocean views, and often, a glass of Bollinger waiting for you. The interiors are designed with ultra-luxurious details, including boutiques featuring pieces from Piaget, Cartier, Hermès, IWC Schaffhausen, and local designers selected according to the itinerary.
With 10 decks and almost as many areas to relax or socialize, depending on your mood, there are bars for every occasion. Discreet ones, poolside bars, or something more lively.
Suites:
As with the rest of the Ritz-Carlton Yacht Collection fleet, each suite on Luminara will feature its own private terrace. The décor is based on a core palette of dark oak, marble, and touches of smoked glass, combined with warm woods, metals, and neutral tones. Materials such as Jacobean oak and custom furnishings from design houses like Minotti, Giorgetti, Talenti, and others will also be incorporated to add tactile richness and visual depth. Furthermore, the lighting system will allow guests to personalize the ambiance of their room.
The suites are private sanctuaries surrounded by the sea, exuding understated elegance. They feature a king-size, plush bed, separate dressing rooms, a well-stocked minibar, and all-inclusive amenities. The expansive windows offer breathtaking views of the sea, making it the star of the show. The bathrooms boast creamy gray marble, Diptyque toiletries, a Dyson hairdryer, and a generously sized bathtub and shower.

With 24-hour room service and the option to order from any restaurant menu, your suite becomes the place where you'll likely spend the most time gazing at the sea from your private terrace. The Ambassador Suite is available at any time. In these sanctuaries, you don't need to introduce yourself; they already know your name.
Art:
The Luminara's art collection seeks to capture "the freedom, sophistication, and elegance inherent in luxury cruising." It comprises 731 works, approximately 65% of which were commissioned specifically for the yacht. Many will explore the interplay of light and celebrate Malta's history, from artistic interpretations of knights' armor to depictions of the Maltese hawk-moth.
Works by renowned artists such as Paul Klee, David Hockney, Alexander Calder, Henri Matisse, Gerhard Richter, and Andy Warhol are also on display. A seven-story-high suspended light sculpture will illuminate the aft staircase atrium, designed to create a sense of vertical connection between the decks.

, every meal is a luxurious experience. At Seta su Luminara, only 40 guests per night enjoy the menu created by Michelin-starred chef Fabio Trabocchi, featuring imported olive oil, select wines, and freshly baked bread.
At Azur, the menu changes every two days depending on the port, as if the best local restaurant had sailed with you. Haesu Bit blends Japanese, Cantonese, Vietnamese, Thai, and Korean cuisines in an atmosphere that feels like a private party in Los Angeles. Mistral, inspired by Mediterranean coastal cuisine, emphasizes fresh fish and grilled meats.
There are five restaurants and seven bars. The most exclusive option: a private dinner in the wine cellar, featuring vintage wines from France, Spain, and Italy. All with exquisite lighting.
After dinner, head to the Humidor, the hidden cigar and cocktail bar. Polished wood, soft lighting, hand-rolled cigars, and smoky whiskeys or Negronis. It's the perfect ritual to end the day.
Wellness
at Luminara is a lifestyle. The movement studio offers yoga, TRX, barre, Pilates, and cycling. There is also a sauna, steam room, and a fully equipped gym.
The spa has 11 treatment rooms, operated exclusively by Ritz-Carlton, with products from 111SKIN and ESPA and of course everything is for sale.
The barbershop, with its Pisterzi products and personalized service, allows gentlemen to be more frequent customers than usual. The beauty salon uses only Oribe products.
Design is also present; in the center of the spa, there is an art deco lighthouse. A silent symbol that sleep is no longer far away.
Activities and entertainment:
Marina Terrace is a playground on the sea. It features convertible walls that create floating patios and an Aquabana, a private inflatable swimming platform. For the more adventurous, there are SEABOBS, water jetpacks.
On the Luminara, when the sun goes down, the action moves to deck 10, where the live DJ will play music that best suits the atmosphere.
Ritz Carlton also curates onshore experiences, ensuring your visit to the coast is an extension of your onboard adventures. For example, a private helicopter tour along the coast, landing at a winery for a tasting of their wines and exquisite cuisine.
