AMADEUS River Cruises has announced its 2027 river cruise program, which includes more than 20 carefully crafted European itineraries, 30 new shore excursions, and the debut of a new five-star riverboat sailing the Rhine and Danube.
The itineraries cover France, the Netherlands, Germany, Austria, Slovakia, Hungary, Croatia, Serbia, Bulgaria, and Romania, with an expanded selection of cultural, culinary, and active excursions available along the way. Among the new cultural experiences, travelers can discover some of Europe's most iconic destinations, such as the Triberg Falls in Germany's Black Forest, the medieval town of Rothenburg ob der Tauber, a full-day visit to Brussels including the Atomium and Cinquantenaire Park, or a themed tour of Nuremberg following in the footsteps of the celebrated artist Albrecht Dürer.
The culinary experiences will also expand in 2027, offering food and wine lovers the chance to discover regional flavors through immersive tastings and local traditions. Highlights include tastings of Norman apple wine, apple brandy and aperitifs, tours of Cologne's unique beer culture, and a Riesling tasting at the historic Eberbach Abbey winery.
For travelers seeking a more active way to explore Europe, the 2027 program includes a wider selection of guided cycling, e-bike, and hiking tours. These include cycling routes through the Camargue and North Holland, leisurely e-bike tours along the Danube in the Wachau and Klosterneuburg regions, and scenic walks such as the Philosopher's Path in Heidelberg, the Seine route to the Côte Sainte-Catherine in Rouen, and the still largely untouched Rusenski Lom Nature Park in Bulgaria.
The new five-star ship AMADEUS Mira, joining the fleet in spring 2027, will accommodate 158 passengers in 12 spacious balcony suites and 67 staterooms with panoramic windows. Onboard amenities include the elegant Panorama Restaurant, a sundeck with an outdoor pool and Lido Bar, a modern fitness center, and the River Terrace, designed for relaxing outdoors by the river. The ship will also incorporate advanced environmental technologies, such as a hybrid propulsion system and an efficient heat recovery system, reinforcing AMADEUS River Cruises' commitment to sustainability.
The AMADEUS Mira will operate a varied selection of Rhine and Danube itineraries, including tulip cruises from Amsterdam, scenic crossings between Trier and Passau, trips to the Danube Delta and a comprehensive 15-day immersive itinerary from Amsterdam to Budapest.
Marcus Leskovar, President of AMADEUS River Cruises, commented: “Our 2027 program reflects our continued focus on thoughtful growth and purposeful innovation. From the addition of a new five-star ship to the expansion of our shore excursions, every element has been carefully designed to enhance the passenger experience, offering more choice, flexibility, and depth when discovering Europe.”.
