Copenhagen Malmö Port (CMP) is strengthening its cruise commercial team with the appointment of a dedicated Cruise Commercial Manager for Visby and several changes in key positions aimed at supporting the continued growth of cruise operations in Copenhagen, Malmö and Visby.
In August, Magnus Olsson joined CMP as Cruise Commercial Manager for Visby, establishing a dedicated commercial presence on Gotland. In this role, he will lead cruise line relations and destination development initiatives, further strengthening Visby's position as an attractive cruise destination in the Baltic.
At the same time, Lennart Vidbjørg has rejoined CMP as Senior Advisor, Strategic Partnerships, while Jens Andersson has permanently joined the cruise sales team as Cruise Commercial Service Manager. Louise Haulund Landler continues in her role as Cruise Commercial Manager, overseeing cruise line accounts and commercial alliances. The cruise sales team is led by Luis de Carvalho, Commercial Cruise Director.
“The cruise industry continues to evolve, and our organization must evolve with it. By strengthening our cruise sales team and establishing a dedicated commercial presence in Visby, we are reinforcing our ability to support cruise lines, destinations, and all stakeholders, while also creating a solid foundation for future growth across all our destinations,” says Luis de Carvalho, Commercial Cruise Director of Copenhagen Malmö Port.
The strengthening of the team reflects the continued development of CMP's cruise business in Copenhagen, Malmö and Visby, including growth in passenger turnaroundandtransit calls, as well as winter cruise activity and overnight stays.
Through close collaboration with cruise lines, destinations and local agents, CMP continues to position its ports as benchmark cruise destinations in Northern Europe.
