Cunard 's iconic Queen Mary 2 completed its first historic transit through the Panama Canal, marking a major milestone in its 2026 Round the World Voyage.
Guests aboard the 108-night round-the-world itinerary experienced a truly special moment when the Queen Mary 2 began its historic transit through the canal's new lock system on Saturday, January 24. After an overnight stay at the Cocolí mooring station, the ship continued its transit and passed under the iconic Bridge of the Americas on Sunday, January 25.

Following the transit, the Queen Mary 2 will visit Fuerte Amador, Panama, for an overnight stop, and Manzanillo, Mexico, before arriving in Los Angeles on February 2. The Queen Mary 2 in Southern California will mark a highly anticipated return after 17 years, completing this remarkable leg of its round-the-world voyage. Furthermore, the Queen Mary 2 will celebrate a reunion with its legendary namesake, the Queen Mary, for the first time in 20 years.
