Cunard 's newly refurbished Queen Elizabeth has arrived at the Port of Miami for the first time, kicking off a season of highly anticipated Caribbean cruises. For 185 years, Cunard's flagships have represented the pinnacle of British travel luxury, and now the Queen Elizabeth will have its first-ever homeport in Miami, bringing its renowned White Star Service to the region for a two-season stay, with luxury itineraries ranging from nine to 21 nights.
“At Cunard, we believe that true luxury is as much about warmth and joy as it is about sophistication,” said Liz Fettes, senior vice president of Commercial for North America at Cunard. “With the arrival of the Queen Elizabeth, we are redefining luxury in Caribbean cruising, combining our attentive service, sumptuous Art Deco design, and heartwarming new entertainment, all with the charm, rhythms, and genuine hospitality of the Caribbean.”
Throughout its history, Cunard has welcomed iconic figures from film, theater, fashion, and music. To celebrate its arrival in Miami, Patricia Altschul, author, philanthropist, and television personality, joined the event as a special guest aboard the first Caribbean cruise.
“For me, the Queen Elizabeth is a kindred spirit, and I am delighted to welcome her to this spectacular city,” said Altschul. “Cunard is a cruise line for those who appreciate timeless elegance in their travels.”
Cunard expands its legacy of luxury with a new range of exclusive offerings for the Caribbean season. Guests can enjoy nearly 120 limited-run theatrical performances and a variety of innovative culinary experiences that reflect the vibrant culture and flavors of the Caribbean, ensuring that every voyage is as exquisite as it is inspiring.
Culinary highlights include Karibe, a new dining concept celebrating Caribbean coastal cuisine with bold spices and modern twists, and “The Whispering Hour,” a lively happy hour sponsored by Whispering Angel Wines. Locally inspired street food, tropical cocktails, and sunset parties on the Lido Deck will offer passengers new opportunities to socialize and experience the Caribbean spirit in true Cunard style.
The entertainment lineup will be equally impressive, headlined by the first-ever production at sea of the Olivier and Tony Award-winning musical, Come From Away. Caribbean cruises will also feature Broadway and West End artists, including Tony Award winner Sutton Foster (performing on January 20), as well as performers from iconic productions such as Wicked, Chicago, The Phantom of the Opera, The Lion King , and more.
The Commodore Club has been reimagined as the Abbey Road Listening Lounge, where guests can enjoy legendary recordings and soundtracks alongside signature cocktails.
In addition, a series of lectures with special guests will include Olympic medalists, astronauts and prominent figures, including actor Hugh Bonneville, reinforcing Cunard's commitment to cultural and artistic excellence at sea.
Following a spectacular refurbishment earlier this year, the Queen Elizabeth now boasts revitalized spaces that elevate every aspect of life on board. Passengers will enjoy entertainment in a refurbished Royal Court Theatre, formal dances in a redesigned Queens Room, relaxing dips in the new Lido Pool Club, and luxurious stays in the Grills Suites, which offer new amenities, exclusive dining experiences, and butler service. Each space blends modern sophistication with the classic elegance that defines Cunard, creating an atmosphere that balances innovation and tradition.
For those seeking wellness and rejuvenation, Caribbean guests can relax at the Pavilion Wellness Café and participate in the Harper's Bazaar® Wellness at Sea program, which offers three personalized wellness itineraries with select treatments, nourishing smoothies, masterclasses, and ELEMIS products designed to restore body and mind.
