Royal Caribbean has officially launched The Royal Pitch, a pioneering initiative in the industry where a select group of travel agents shared their most innovative marketing campaign ideas. Designed to celebrate creativity and strategic thinking, the initiative recognizes the essential role of travel agents in the growth of vacation brands.
More than a competition, The Royal Pitch is a platform to showcase innovative ideas and reward them with tangible support, and it's Royal Caribbean's first activation of its kind. The initiative reflects the vacation brand's commitment to evolving business partnerships and fostering innovative ideas across the industry.
Leading agencies such as Cruiseline, Nautalia, Nego, Dit Gestion, Avoris, Cruceritis, Carrefour, W2M, and VayaCruceros participated in the challenge. Three agencies were selected as finalists: Dit Gestion, SoloCruceros, and Cruiseline. Ultimately, SoloCruceros was chosen as the winner, receiving €25,000 to bring its proposal to life with Royal Caribbean.
The proposals were carefully evaluated by senior executives including Gerard Nolan, Vice President of EMEA; Sergio Arévalo, Sales Director for Spain, Portugal, and the Nordic countries; and Nicki Lewis, Sales Enablement Director, EMEA, who assessed the concept and originality, impact, potential, brand visibility, budget allocation, and presentation.
On the other hand, Royal Caribbean has organized an exclusive dinner at the Madrid Financial Club, bringing together 45 key industry leaders, where Gerard Nolan, Vice President EMEA of Royal Caribbean, Leigh Thomson, Head of Sales EMEA of Celebrity Cruises and Andreas Nuessel, Managing Director UK and EMEA of Silversea, shared the latest news from the three brands.

Gerard Nolan, Vice President of EMEA at Royal Caribbean, said: “Our partners’ ideas inspire us to strive to deliver the best vacations, and the Royal Pitch represents how we invest in and support those ideas. With the arrival this summer of Legend of the Seas—our first Icon Class ship in Europe—there’s no better time to build the future of family vacations together. Congratulations to SoloCruceros! I look forward to seeing the project come to life.”
Natalia Jiménez, Executive Director of SoloCruceros, stated: “This recognition from Royal Caribbean reinforces our strong collaboration and allows us to continue promoting innovative ways to bring the cruise experience to more travelers.”
Both the Royal Pitch and the Madrid event reinforce Royal Caribbean's ongoing commitment to the tourism sector, deepening collaboration and fostering shared growth for 2026 and beyond.
