Silversea has completed the refurbishment of Silver Muse, the ship's first major dry dock entry since 2017. Key upgrades include the addition of Silversea's award-winning SALT (Sea And Land Taste) culinary program — with SALT Kitchen and SALT Bar — plus reimagined public spaces and new suite options.
“The transformation of the Silver Muse underscores our commitment to delivering the most exceptional experiences at sea,” said Bert Hernandez, President of Silversea. “By introducing our acclaimed SALT program and elevating key spaces, we are enhancing the intimacy, elegance, and culinary immersion that define Silversea. These improvements reflect our guests’ feedback and our dedication to delivering more of what they love, enriching every voyage with culture and flavor.”
Following its refurbishment in Palermo, Italy, the Silver Muse embarked on its maiden voyage in late December, taking guests on a 14-night cruise from Barcelona to Lisbon across the Mediterranean. These passengers were the first to enjoy the new onboard enhancements designed to enrich the ship's experience. Among the most notable upgrades are:
- Introducing SALT Kitchen & Bar: With the addition of SALT Kitchen and SALT Bar, guests enjoyed destination-inspired menus and cocktails crafted with regional ingredients, deepening their connection to the regions visited. These additions complement the range of SALT experiences already available on board.
- Food and Beverage Enhancements: Guests on Silver Muse also discovered refreshed offerings at iconic Silversea venues, now available on select ships. Highlights include the Italian-inspired aperitivo experience at Dolce Vita, featuring new signature cocktails such as the bold Cerberus Negroni—made with gin, Campari infused with Pedro Ximénez sherry, and sage butter vermouth. The serene Arts Café introduced upscale pastries and Ronnefeldt tea selections, while La Terrazza debuted a tableside martini trolley, new signature cocktails, and non-alcoholic options to complement its authentic Italian menu. The Grill enhanced its poolside selection of classics, and guests benefited from an updated in-suite dining program, with a refreshed dinner menu and all-day favorites served by dedicated butlers.
- Refreshed interiors and public spaces: Guests on board were the first to enjoy a new pickleball court, putting green, and simulator experience, all debuting on the Silver Muse. They could also relax in a refined pool area with updated furnishings.
- Expanding Suite Options: The new Medallion Suites offer the perfect balance of space and value. These suites feature a veranda, a luxurious bathroom with double vanities, a bathtub, and a separate shower, as well as a private bedroom area with a king-size bed.
The Silver Muse represents the first step in Silversea's ongoing investment to elevate the guest experience across its fleet, as the brand now focuses its attention on improvements to the Silver Spirit.
Later this year, at the Fincantieri shipyard in Palermo, Silversea will add expanded public spaces, renovated interiors, and new dining concepts, including SALT Kitchen and SALT Bar, to the Silver Spirit . Guests will also enjoy an enhanced pool area and elegant lounges.
Inspired by the chic décor of the Silver Muse, the revamped Silver Spirit will offer a more spacious and contemporary atmosphere, while maintaining Silversea's signature: personalized service and all-inclusive comfort.
