Aman at Sea's Amangati touches the water for the first time

Aman at Sea, the joint venture between Aman Group and Cruise Saudi, has reached a major milestone in the construction of its first vessel, the Amangati, following the completion of the yacht's hull and its transfer between Italian shipyards during December.

The 183-meter-long ship is now docked at the T. Mariotti shipyard, where the next phase of construction and outfitting will begin

The start of the next phase of construction of the Amangati marks a key step in the delivery schedule for Aman at Sea's first ship, which continues to progress as planned for completion in 2027.

The ship will be the first in the fleet of this new ultra-luxury brand and will be positioned in a still little-explored segment of the leisure market, which the company defines as the category of "ultra-luxury resort at sea".

With a gross tonnage of 23,000, the Amangati has been designed to accommodate only 47 suites, all with private balconies, maintaining one of the lowest passenger ratios in the industry, a hallmark of Aman's land-based properties.

Its onboard amenities will include four dining options, a jazz club, and the Aman Spa, which will feature a Japanese garden as a central design element. The name Amangati comes from Sanskrit and means “peaceful movement,” reflecting the brand’s emphasis on tranquility and immersive luxury.

Bookings for the Amangati in the Mediterranean will open in early 2026. Once delivered in 2027, the yacht will operate in the Mediterranean during the start of its first season, with itineraries focused on exclusive ports, extended stays, and highly personalized experiences.

The project is one of the most closely watched in the ultra-luxury cruise segment, combining Aman's hospitality model with Cruise Saudi's strategic ambition to solidify Saudi Arabia's position as a major global hub for cruises and yachts. For Cruise Saudi, this alliance reinforces the Kingdom's growing presence at various levels of the cruise market, from high-volume operations to high-end experiential voyages.
