New York City travel agent Toni Day has been chosen as godmother of the Emerald Astra, Emerald Cruises, which will sail on European rivers.
The Emerald Astra, an elegant Star Ship class vessel with a capacity for 180 passengers, will sail the Danube and Rhine rivers starting in May 2026. Its christening ceremony will be held in Amsterdam, before it embarks on its maiden voyage.

In 2004, Toni founded Toni Tours, an agency specializing in luxury ocean and river cruises, and is one of Scenic's top sellers. She has visited more than 120 countries on seven continents, is the special events coordinator for the North Florida Chapter of ASTA, and has received accolades such as ASTA's Barbara O'Hara Award and Nexion's Circle of Excellence for three consecutive years.
