Royal Caribbean International appoints Sergio Arévalo, currently Head of Sales for Iberia, to also be responsible for sales management in the Nordic region, underscoring the vacation brand's commitment to further strengthen its presence throughout Europe.
Since joining Royal Caribbean in 2018, Arévalo has led sales and marketing teams in Spain and Portugal, playing a key role in driving sales growth and building strong business partnerships in both markets. In his newly expanded role, Sergio Arévalo will lead the sales strategy for both Iberia and the Nordic countries, working closely with travel agencies to increase business opportunities.
Sergio Arévalo, Head of Sales – Iberia and the Nordic Countries at Royal Caribbean International, explains: “It is a privilege to expand my area of responsibility to include the Nordic countries in addition to the Iberian Peninsula. I look forward to building on the excellent work already done in this region, which has a very active travel sector, and working hand in hand with our partners to understand their objectives, strengthen our collaboration, and create new opportunities together.”
The regional sales team includes Bente Borvik, Senior Sales Manager for Norway and Finland, supported by a new Key Account Manager, and Christian Erikson, Senior Sales Manager for Sweden and Denmark, supported by Therese Engstrom, Key Account Manager.
Arévalo's expanded role comes at an exciting time for Royal Caribbean, as the brand continues to invest in creating unforgettable vacation experiences. This includes the highly anticipated arrival of Legend of the Seas in Europe in the summer of 2026, which will offer an even greater variety of memorable vacation experiences for guests across Europe and beyond.
Karen Tucker, who has held the position of Sales Director for the Nordic countries for the past three years, will move in the coming months to a new role as Commercial Marketing Director, EMEA, based at the company's UK office.
