Explora Journeys presents its autumn cruises in the Mediterranean

As summer draws to a close, the Mediterranean embraces the calm and vibrant colors of early autumn. Explora Journeys extends a unique invitation: to embrace the season's beauty before it fades. From now until November 2025, EXPLORA I and EXPLORA II offer a selection of late summer and early autumn journeys that showcase the Mediterranean in a different light: more tranquil, fresher, and infinitely more intimate.

Explora Journeys presents its autumn cruises in the MediterraneanFrom the shores of the Aegean to the artistic promenades of the French Riviera and the volcanic silhouettes of the Canary Islands, each itinerary invites travelers to rediscover the joy of unhurried exploration

“Autumn in the Mediterranean has a subtle magic,” said Anna Nash, President of Explora Journeys. “It’s a time when destinations reveal their most authentic essence: as local rhythms return, the light takes on new depth and clarity, and travelers can connect with places and people in a more genuine way.”

EXPLORE I: Immersive journeys through the Eastern Mediterranean

Aboard EXPLORA I, guests can discover a region where myth, history, and culture have shaped some of the world's most iconic coastlines. From September to October, the ship cruises the Eastern Mediterranean, sailing through Greece and Turkey.

The Journey Among Magnificent Ruins and Myths (October 2–8) travels from Antalya to Istanbul, with stops in Paphos, Kusadasi, and Mytilene. In these historically rich landscapes, sacred grottoes and sun-drenched bays give way to whitewashed villages, Byzantine chapels, and spice-filled bazaars.

EXPLORE II: The serenity of the end of the season in the Western Mediterranean

EXPLORA II offers a parallel experience in the Western Mediterranean, with itineraries departing from Barcelona, Civitavecchia (Rome), Santa Cruz de Tenerife, and Lisbon. Along the way, guests can enjoy the elegance of the Riviera and the vibrant rhythms of Sicily and Sardinia, on journeys that unfold with relaxed spontaneity.

On the Star Voyage of the Riviera and Napoleon's Corsica (October 6–13), guests sail from Barcelona to Rome (Civitavecchia), with stops in Monte Carlo, Saint-Tropez, Alghero, Ajaccio – the birthplace of Le Petit Caporal – and Livorno. Legendary hotels and Michelin-starred restaurants are interwoven with colorful marine murals, Corsican charm, and Tuscan treasures.

Later in the season, the Cliffs to Cathedrals Journey (October 28 – November 2) offers a westward escape from Santa Cruz de Tenerife to Barcelona, with stops in Lanzarote and Cádiz. From the tiled courtyards and volcanic cliffs of Tenerife to the Moorish echoes of Cádiz and the Gothic spires of Catalonia, each port whispers tales of worlds steeped in time and bathed in the warmth of late-season.
