Carnival Cruise Line is including enhancements to the new Carnival Rewards™ loyalty program for all current Diamond and Platinum guests, as well as for all those who reach Diamond and Platinum status before the new program's launch date, June 1, 2026.

Over the summer, we engaged with our guests, listened to their feedback, and analyzed their suggestions. As a result, I am pleased to share that we are making changes to enhance the offering for our most loyal customers as we prepare for the program’s launch in 2026,” said Christine Duffy, President of Carnival Cruise Line.

Among the announced changes:

Guests who achieve Diamond status in the current VIFP Club® before May 31, 2026 will not only receive Diamond status until May 31, 2032, but will now also receive lifetime Diamond status in the Carnival Rewards™ program.

Guests who achieve Platinum status in the current VIFP Club® before May 31, 2026, will not only have their status extended until May 31, 2028, as previously announced, but will also receive a semi-annual bonus of 10,000 qualifying stars toward Carnival Rewards™ status when the program launches on June 1, 2026, and in every two-year cycle thereafter. This will give VIFP Platinum members a 20% head start toward achieving Platinum status again, and even a head start toward reaching the higher Diamond tier in the new program. It also guarantees a minimum Gold status in all future cycles under Carnival Rewards™.

In compliance with U.S. privacy laws, which restrict enrollment of individuals under 18 years of age in programs such as Carnival Rewards™, Carnival confirmed that children will enjoy the same status as their parent or designated adult on the booking for that trip. When the children turn 18, those who have achieved Diamond or Platinum status before May 31, 2026, will be invited to join Carnival Rewards™ with their existing status and the same privileges as other Diamond and Platinum members of the VIFP.
When it officially launches on June 1, 2026, Carnival Rewards™ will be the first loyalty program of its kind in the cruise industry, where guests can earn status and rewards tied to both travel activities and spending, along with a co-branded credit card. Guests will be able to accumulate points that will be converted into reward dollars and used for cruise fares, onboard experiences, shore excursions, and other vacation activities.
