Explora Journeys has unveiled its 2027–2028 Travel Collection, including a momentous milestone: the brand's first-ever voyages to Asia, opening a new chapter of discovery. This season also marks the debut of EXPLORA V, the fifth ship in the fleet, which will begin its journey in the tranquil Mediterranean season before continuing on to the Red Sea and the Arabian Peninsula.
From September 2027 to May 2028, the collection will include nearly 100 voyages, visiting 59 countries and almost 200 destinations. With greater regional immersion, seamless cultural discovery, and multiple overnight stays, the 2027–2028 season reaffirms Explora Journeys' vision of transforming luxury ocean travel into deeper, more enriching experiences.

The Debut in Asia
Asia will take center stage when EXPLORA III embarks on the brand's first voyages in the region. Across 28 immersive itineraries, the ship will visit 47 destinations in Japan, South Korea, China, Vietnam, Thailand, Cambodia, Malaysia, Indonesia, and Singapore—all inaugural stops.
With overnight stays in Tokyo, Osaka, Hong Kong, Shanghai, Naha, Ha Long Bay, Ho Chi Minh City, and Bali, guests will have time to immerse themselves in local life. From the autumnal foliage of maples and ginkgos in Kyoto to the spring cherry blossoms in Shimizu and Nagoya, the itineraries align with Asia's most evocative seasons. They will also coincide with major cultural events such as China's Golden Week in Shanghai and the celebration of the Chinese New Year onboard in January 2028, complete with themed entertainment and traditional festivities.
EXPLORE V
The EXPLORA V, the newest ship in the fleet, will launch in December 2027, beginning with a distinctive focus on the Mediterranean. Its inaugural collection will explore the region during the quieter season, when the light is softer, temperatures are cooler, and there are fewer tourists, allowing for a more intimate encounter with the culture and history.
The initial voyages include 27 destinations in nine countries, with an inaugural stop in Salerno, gateway to the Amalfi Coast. There will be shore leave in Messina, Split, Dubrovnik, and Kepez, as well as an overnight stay in Istanbul that will bring to life the cultural heritage between East and West.
A highlight of the season will be New Year's Eve in Naples, where guests on board will enjoy a privileged view of the city's legendary fireworks from the sea.
After its voyages through the Mediterranean, EXPLORA V will sail east, joining EXPLORA I to offer a series of exceptional itineraries through Egypt, Jordan, Saudi Arabia, Oman, the United Arab Emirates, Qatar and Bahrain.
Guests will explore UNESCO World Heritage sites such as Petra, Luxor, the Pyramids of Giza, and the archaeological wonders of AlUla in Saudi Arabia. From Jeddah to Dubai, from Muscat to Mount Sinai, this region offers sandcastles, towering minarets, futuristic skylines, and the profound silence of the desert.
2027-2028 Season
During the 2027–2028 season, EXPLORA II and EXPLORA IV will sail through the Caribbean, Central America and South America, offering a colorful fusion of sun-drenched landscapes, Creole culture and ecological diversity.
The itineraries will visit 51 destinations in 30 countries and territories, including the inaugural stop in Port Antonio, Jamaica, and lesser-known Caribbean gems such as Jost Van Dyke (British Virgin Islands) and Terre-de-Haut (Guadeloupe).
In Central America, guests can kayak under jungle canopy, explore Mayan ruins and admire volcanic landscapes, while the Eastern Caribbean invites days of music, rum and white sand beaches.
In the Amazon, the journey offers a completely different pace. Along the majestic river, you'll visit remote communities like Boca da Valeria and Santarém, with an overnight stay in Manaus, a city nestled in the heart of the rainforest.
Both ships, EXPLORA II and EXPLORA IV, will celebrate New Year's Eve off the coast of San Juan (Puerto Rico), offering guests a front-row seat to enjoy the island's famous fireworks from the tranquility and privacy of the ship.
