Explora Journeys appoints Justin Poulsen as Head of Itinerary Planning, Destination Experiences and Ground Services, effective from August 2025. Based in Geneva, Switzerland, Justin leads the development of unique itineraries, immersive destination experiences and the coordination of ground operations for the brand's growing fleet.
Justin brings over two decades of experience in the cruise industry, with extensive experience in itinerary planning, destination development, and revenue strategy. Prior to joining Explora Journeys, he held various leadership positions at Silversea Cruises, including Vice President of Itinerary Planning and Destination Development, as well as Vice President of Strategic Pricing and Itinerary Planning, where he played a key role in fleet positioning and the development of the company's destination offerings.
Prior to joining Silversea, Justin was the executive director of the Port Authority of New Bedford and subsequently vice president and executive director of PortNYC at the New York City Economic Development Corporation, where he oversaw strategic port operations and cruise business development. His career also includes more than a decade with other cruise lines, where he held leadership positions in areas such as fleet deployment, itinerary planning, and revenue strategy.

Justin holds a degree in Maritime Transportation from the California Maritime Academy and an Executive MBA from the Politecnico di Milano Graduate School of Business.
