MSC Cruises is making a spectacular appearance in cinemas worldwide with the release of the highly anticipated F1® THE MOVIE, starring Brad Pitt and Damon Idris as drivers for a fictional Formula 1® team. The cruise line has partnered with the Apple Original Films Formula 1® racing movie, directed, produced, and co-written by Joseph Kosinski and produced by Jerry Bruckheimer, with its branding and logo appearing throughout the film.

In this film, Pitt leads an all-star cast as a former racer who returns to the track, with the fictional APXGP team sporting MSC Cruises branding—on the cars, team uniforms, and drivers' suits—making the cruise line an unmistakable part of the film's high-speed story.
The film was also shot during actual Formula 1® Grand Prix weekends in recent seasons, and includes MSC Cruises' distinctive track branding—a result of the company's global partnership with Formula 1® since 2022.
“This film captures the same spirit that drives our people on board and ashore every day: world-class performance, precision and teamwork,” said Pierfrancesco Vago, CEO of MSC Group’s Cruise Division.
“Formula 1® and MSC Cruises are built on innovation and a relentless pursuit of excellence—on land and at sea. We are proud to see our partnership brought to the big screen.”
MSC Group's cruise division recently announced a multi-year contract extension that will allow it to continue as the sport's Global Partner until 2030.
The renewed agreement includes the continuation of existing rights, including race naming rights, trackside brand presence, and hospitality activations. As part of the global partnership, MSC Cruises' sister brand, Explora Journeys, will be featured in signage packages at selected Grand Prix races throughout the partnership.
F1® THE MOVIE is available exclusively in theaters and IMAX® from June 25 worldwide and June 27 in North America.
