Oceania Cruises and Regent Seven Seas Cruises will have a new sales leadership structure for Europe, the Middle East and Africa (EMEA), in order to better position both brands for major fleet expansions in the coming years.
Overseeing the EMEA sales teams for both brands will be Gabriella Fonzo, who has been promoted to a new dual-brand role as Senior Director of Sales for Europe, the Middle East, and Africa for both Oceania Cruises and Regent Seven Seas Cruises. Fonzo will report to Steve Odell, who was appointed in March as Senior Vice President of International and Consumer Sales for both luxury and ultra-luxury brands.
The following regional managers will report directly to Fonzo:
-
Maik Schlueter, Business Development Director – Germany, Austria and Switzerland, Oceania Cruises
-
Sabine Franz, Senior Business Development Manager – Germany, Austria and Switzerland, Regent Seven Seas Cruises
-
Riet Goetschalckx, Sales Director – Belgium, Netherlands, Luxembourg and South Africa, Oceania Cruises
-
Marcel von Rotz, Senior Sales Manager – Northern Europe and South Africa, Regent Seven Seas Cruises
-
Alessandra Cabella, promoted to Senior Business Development Manager – Southern Europe and the Middle East, Oceania Cruises and Regent Seven Seas Cruises
“I am delighted to announce this new sales structure for our key markets in Europe, the Middle East, and Africa, which means we are now well-positioned to maintain our leadership in the luxury and ultra-luxury segments,” commented Steve Odell, Senior Vice President of International and Consumer Sales for Oceania Cruises and Regent Seven Seas Cruises.
“This new structure leverages our exceptional talent and allows the team to share best practices, providing even stronger support to our valued business partners. It strategically positions both brands to capitalize on the growing demand for luxury and ultra-luxury cruises, while showcasing the strength of our industry-leading team. I look forward to seeing what Gabriella and the entire team will achieve.”
This move comes amid fleet expansion for both cruise lines. Oceania Cruises will receive the Oceania Allura™ in July 2025; Regent will launch its first next-generation ship, the Seven Seas Prestige®, in 2026; and Oceania Cruises will add its first Project Quattro ship in 2027.
“It is an honor to assume this new role at such an exciting time for Oceania Cruises and Regent Seven Seas Cruises,” said Gabriella Fonzo, Senior Director of Sales for Europe, the Middle East, and Africa. “With 22 years in the industry, 13 of them with Regent, I can’t wait to work with the sales teams of both brands to take these leading lines within their respective categories even further, and help our business partners grow their luxury and ultra-luxury cruise business.”
