The Mein Schiff Relax, the first ship of TUI Cruises' new InTUItion , was christened by its godmother Giuliana Rizzo, a member of the Mein Schiff fleet crew since 2015, with more than 12,000 guests in attendance at the port of Malaga and the presence of the Mein Schiff 5 and Mein Schiff 7 ships, marking the first time the fleet has come together to celebrate such an event.
The ceremony, which lasted several hours, featured numerous musical highlights, including local artists, Mitchy & André Katawazi, MOKABY, a performance by Giovanni Zarrella and, as a grand finale, international superstar Robbie Williams.
The 12,000 guests, located in an area specially set up for the event, actively participated thanks to the radio-controlled LED wristbands they wore. They didn't just attend: they lived and breathed the event.
The evening culminated with a fireworks display and 120-meter rockets leading to the bow of the ship, the traditional champagne bursting against the hull, and a spectacular fireworks show.
The after-christening parties were held on all three ships: DJ MOUSSE T. livened up the dance floor on the Mein Schiff 5; DJ MOKABY got everyone dancing on the deck of the Mein Schiff 7; and DJ 2elements and DJ SCHILLER brought the atmosphere to the max on the Mein Schiff Relax.
The Mein Schiff Relax is the first of the new InTUItion class, which will be joined by a new one, the Mein Schiff Flow, in 2026.

That's why we wanted to give it a very special welcome, and we did so with a fleet gathering in the port of Malaga, an energetic concert by Robbie Williams, and a spectacular christening ceremony,” commented Wybcke Meier, CEO of TUI Cruises.
This summer, the Mein Schiff Relax will offer 7- to 10-day cruises to and from Palma de Mallorca. Stops include Italian cities such as Rome, La Spezia, and Naples, and Spanish destinations like Valencia, Barcelona, Málaga, and Cádiz. The itinerary also features visits to Marseille and Ajaccio (France), Lisbon (Portugal), Sardinia and Sicily (Italy), and Tangier (Morocco). Some routes include an overnight stay in Palma, allowing for more in-depth exploration of the Balearic capital.
After that, the Mein Schiff Relax will offer itineraries through the Canary Islands for the winter season, with 7-day trips embarking in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria or Santa Cruz de Tenerife.
