Oceania Cruises incorporates its iconic French restaurant Jacques into the new Allura

Oceania Cruiseswill incorporate its iconic French restaurant, Jacques, aboard its new ship Allura™, which will launch in mid-July.

Oceania Cruises incorporates its iconic French restaurant Jacques into the new AlluraNamed after renowned chef Jacques Pépin, founder of Oceania Cruises' culinary philosophy and the company's first Chief Culinary Officer, this sophisticated restaurant is already a favorite among passengers traveling on Marina™ and Riviera™ ships.

In addition, Jacques will debut in October 2025 aboard Vista™, Allura's sister ship, joining other iconic dining options such as the Polo Grill steakhouse, the Italian restaurant Toscana, and the pan-Asian Red Ginger, present on all four of the line's ships with a capacity for more than 1,200 passengers.

Frank A. Del Rio, president of Oceania Cruises, commented: “Jacques is our culinary patriarch, having been part of the team since day one. His creativity and expertise are at the heart of our philosophy, The Finest Cuisine at Sea, which drives everything we do. Adding this fabulous restaurant to the Allura, when it launches this summer, and to the Vista later this year, means so much to me and the entire Oceania Cruises family.”.

Oceania Cruises' two Executive Culinary Directors and Master Chefs of France, Alexis Quaretti and Eric Barale, will work alongside Chef Pépin to introduce new flavors to the menu and perfect the classic dishes that have been part of Jacques since he joined the fleet with the launch of the Marina.

Chef Pépin added: “I’m very excited to be writing the next chapter of Jacques alongside my friends and colleagues, Chefs Alexis Quaretti and Eric Barale. This is the perfect opportunity to experiment with new dishes and explore unique ways of serving some of the classics our guests know and love. We have many exciting plans for this new iteration of Jacques and I can’t wait to share them.”.

Guest favorites from Jacques' restaurant aboard Marina and Riviera will remain on the menu, along with new options such as duck with Grand Marnier-infused orange sauce and veal medallions with morel sauce, as well as new vegetarian dishes. For dessert lovers, classic French treats like Crêpes Suzette and profiteroles will join other indulgences on the dessert trolley.

Passengers will also enjoy a more immersive dining experience on Jacques, with the introduction of tableside service, including dishes like steak tartare. In addition, a carefully curated selection of tableware, glassware, and cutlery will be incorporated, reinforcing the importance of "l'art de la table" and enhancing the authentic Parisian bistro experience.

Del Rio concluded: “Our beautiful new ship, Allura, represents the bright future of Oceania Cruises, but it also honors our history. The addition of Jacques to both this ship and its sister ship, Vista, is a wonderful, tangible example of this: celebrating our heritage and our passion for food, while looking toward what lies ahead.”.
